Some folks in Aus and NZ are getting shipping notices for the guardian knights and posting those on FB. The good news is that inventory is still being produced and sent out to retailers. (At least internationally) People are getting their orders.

Also, it’s being advertised to local comic shops in the new Diamond Distributers catalog. They wouldn’t be listing it to a whole new market if they didn’t plan on producing more.

There’s still hope for those who ordered from GameStop.

Still waiting on Bigbadtoystore to ship as well. They originally said December, then changed that to January. Guessing it will slip to February soon. Maybe the shipment from Hasbro was held up?

Catching up on this thread, I'm confused. What's only from the release and what extras are not getting reprinted?

I bought in because if I didn't the whole game wasn't geting reprinted. But since I did I fully expected it available retail. But like others here I didn't want to miss it this time. I bought the orgional expansions a long time ago on Ebay from scalpers, missing the first releases.

If you missed the pledge drive (Heroic and Mythic tiers on Hasbro Pulse) the Game System went into Retail November last year, and Return of the Witch Lord and Kellar's Keep followed shortly thereafter. So the game is "in retail" now. The game was "sold out" for awhile but now more copies have come in and you can get it again.

The "Knight" release was supposed to come out officially this month (some buyers got it last month, mainly reviewers). It has been touted as a "limited release" in retail. Many sites still list it as pre-order. Supplies ran out and they made more.

So far we don't have proof that the Knight expansion will always be available. They just say they are going to fill the pre-orders that were placed and sell it while supplies last.

But the GS, KK and ROTWL are being sold. Sorry you got it from scalpers, but the only reason to do that was if you missed the pledge drive and really wanted the Mythic extras (3 quest books, Joe's tiles and Dragon, extra miniatures including "unlocks," alternate monsters, new heroes and alternate heroes).

Hasbro Pulse ("Has Lab" crowd funded) products don't normally go to retail they say, but Avalon Hill, the subsidiary company, continues to make the game for sale long after the pledge orders are filled.

I got my knight last month too.

I meant I bought everything this time because I had to get the expansions second hand the first time around. The most expensive was the barbarian expansion for me.

Rest of my post was a joke because of how my luck goes. Had I not bought it the whole thing was not going retail.

FOMO got you my friend... it has taken a lot of good people, my sympathies.

The good news is that most of the new HQ stuff will be available to most people who want it, moving forward, if what we've seen and heard so far is any indication. Otherwise the community would go back into being a niche hobby again like it has been for the last three decades... rather than being "back."

If they bring back EQP/BQP into retail (which seems likely in the next year or so), that will make it possible that more people could experience those (broken) quest packs more than anyone during its original run!

Edit: as of mid-day here on 1/25 my payment to Gamestop is "pending." No change since the original posting.
