how would you feel if Hasbro did release all of the Mythic unlocks (not just "limited time exclusives" and "pulse bonuses") to the general public... not for a limited time, but that could be purchased anytime? To the point where the prices went down and they became common?

Would you be upset with Hasbro or feel they had somehow betrayed their promises to backers? I'm hoping to better understand your position.

I'd be bummed, but I wouldn't dwell on it for more than a minute, and I'd move on and enjoy my copy. It might make me leery in the future to back something thinking I was being rewarded for doing so. But again, I'm not really that bothered by it.

I think we can all agree that the Commander set was distributed and handled poorly. THAT I am mad about because I am a completionist.

Ah, so if you had known the stuff would have been available later you'd have waited... you only pledged Mythic thinking that was your only chance to get it?
That's it and I won't push it, like I said, not a debate, you don't have to agree with me. ;)

I know that many people assumed that the game would never go to retail so this was their ONLY chance to get any of the remake stuff.

Good to hear your thought process. I listened to the pessimists who said this was my only chance, because like many others, I didn't think much of the new material (only the Stephen Baker quest book). I knew the project was already funded... Hasbro didn't "need" my $150 to release the product since I pledged in the 11th hour.

So Hasbro didn't fool me with false advertising, I was fooled by other fans and by other Hasbro Pulse customers online. I too blame Hasbro for being short-sighted on the Knight Hero release... just as I blame GameStop for blindly lying to customers (blaming it on their outdated pre-order system). I also blame them for misleading us on the Bonus Heroes, even though it doesn't impact me personally, other than embarrassing me for assuring others that they would make these figures available in retail as the page (which is still there) leads me to believe.

Without the graphics I could see where the lack of a comma COULD be interpreted as saying none of the pledge bonuses would ever be available in the future (except maybe some alternative version of the Sir Rangar character, which I don't care about, a guy you use once as a NPC needs a dedicated figure why?).

The Completionist thing is how they get ya. FOMA (fueled by misinformation from the public) is how they got me. Outright lying and breaking promises (against the customers) is bad, but being deliberately vague so they can pretend they never promised is bad too, I would say.

I know things didn't work out the way they wanted. So admit your mistakes, Hasbro, and give us a plan for how you plan to fix it. If you want your customers to feel like a part of it, you have to talk to us, have some give and take... show some respect.

Pivoting quickly we're a day and change away from the GS orders going out. Who wants some action on whether or not this happens??

Insert joke about the name of that company being the first red flag...

My order of Space Crusade was delayed, so we'll see what happens.

Did anyone else's card get charged last night for this?

FYI the Gamestop page says Pre orders are available tomorrow, but in the order itself itself release date 2/10/21.

Mine got charged. So I'm expecting either the product will show up in a week, or else they'll reverse the charge and tell me its out of stock and my order is delayed again.

Same here. It'd be great if they honor their agreement, but we've been down this road and I don't have a lot of confidence in GS. We shall see.

But look at what I wrote. There are two dates on my order page. One saying "Pre Order available 1/22/22" and then "release date 2/10/22". I don't think we're getting it until 2/10/22, but that they may take more pre orders tomorrow.

Confusing, I know. Just providing whatever info I have.

Thanks for the update...

I checked my own GS order page and it hasn't changed since the last time. Still says in progress, awaiting product availability. Still says January 22nd.

They're taking new pre-orders? If they weren't already shown to be clueless about their own stock, I'd say that's a good thing.

So here we go again... I trust this company as far as I can throw them at this point.

May it be so.

My take on the situation, is that this could be the same loop we already went through. Cards are pre-authorized, a new release date is announced, then we wait.

The original pre-order announcement waited until the last minute to release the pre-authorization, then they reset the date, then they lost the orders briefly, then we waited (are waiting). Note that I ordered within the first few minutes that the Knight was orderable back in Nov. At the time GS was estimating that it'd be a week before release that cards would be charged.

I suspect that it's all automated and the first time GS moved the target, they cancelled the orders and dropped the pre-authorization. I have no reason to think this will be different. Though I would be happy to be proven wrong.

In contrast, Miniature Market has not replenished their pre-order availability. This means little in the grand scheme, perhaps, but I'd expect that MM would be getting stock as well, and they have not put it up so far. MM still lists the release date for the Knight as Jan - Feb.

Without any insider info I can only speculate. I simply think that we could be in another automated loop based on the previous estimated date being nigh.

Please note, I have zero investment in bursting any bubbles, and again, I'd be thrilled to be wrong. I am also managing my expectations here.
