Allied HeroQuest

Another great example of what I'm talking about with stuff being lost … has anybody got the Allied HeroQuest files handy? The website is still there, but all of the links to downloads are 404.

Looks like yeah, I should start including fan-created stuff in the archive I'm slowly building. That's gonna make it a big archive, folks. I need to get this thing public so people can make suggestions and contribute missing/better stuff. I've got a place for static content … but if I want e.g. an issue tracker or discussion area … it'd better be a CGI or something. And the best solutions for doing it … are not that. We'll see what I can do.

So some homebrewer(s) combined HeroQuest and Advanced Hero Quest (like Davane's "Randoquest" minus WHQ)?

I guess I never knew what that was. Too bad I don't have AHQ (the only interest I ever had were a couple of the miniatures looked cool). It seems like a pretty rare game especially outside europe.

Hopefully somebody has the files you want... archive.org was no help I'm guessing?

OH GOOD! I got in touch with Toco on BGG and he said he took it down because of the remake. He was worried Hasbro might have a problem with what he'd done.

I explained what I know about these things and he might or might not decide he believes me. It might be for the best this way—it's still out there, and he's not responsible for it being there. I will help make sure it isn't lost to lack of indexing, whatever he decides is best for saving his own skin.
