Here are basic stuff I added to character sheets :

Barbarian = can add one more dice to attack & defense when his life points are equal to 2 or less.
Elf : can reroll dices of his choice for every ranged attack with a bow.
Dwarf : no need to use tools to disarm traps. Can disarm traps and fails if he gets a black shield.
Wizard : can reroll dices for his movement when life points are equal to 2 or under.

Once they reach the wizards of morcar expansion, the wizard character has all 4 element spells + the 3 new (protection, detection, darkness) while the elf has his own spells (elf pack ones)

We added a BERZERK for the barb - more attack, less defense, (but armor still gives defense)
Elf - far sight, and some other things I don't remember. (Check Old Scratch site where I can speculate more freely...)
Dwarf - same - I think he sees traps immediately without roll. Good nose for treasure too.
Wizard - can powerup some spells.

Of course we have loads of other hero types that have all kinds of attributes...

Check out my new character: Halfling! I promise you will consider using it!

Remember, if you run out of dice,
3/4/5 = skulls
1/2 = white shields
6 = black shields
