Progress on the fieldstone heroquest board has been slow. Mostly, any spare time i got has been spent casting blocks for next section. I have got the floor tiles glued into position and more photos will follow once i build the walls.
A little sideline piece i've made is the spiral stairs where the hero's start. The basic paint job is done, but i want to jazz it up a little. I want a torch somewhere on it, but ideas for other items welcome.

It is a beauty! Of course if you cast each stone, I can imagine that the assembly takes as much time as a real stairway. Looking forward to see more.

Looking good. My suggestion would be a small pile of bones on the second level, in the corner to the right when walking down,
and a torch next to the stairs leading down from the second level, the only place where a torch can be placed really.

A dead hero sprawled down the stairs, he never quite made it out, or maybe he never quite made it in! Who knows? Only the walls remember?

Ok i got my stair case cluttered out. I added some moss to blend it in with the rest of the dungeon. I took KK's advice and placed the torch on the side of the stairs. I struggled to find space for bones on the second level because it make it difficult to stand heros on the squares.
So i went with Figo's idea of the remains of a dead hero on the stairs. Left to decompose where he died! :)

That's nice! If you feel like it, the skeleton could use some moss or fungi growing in the ribcage. : D

Looking pretty good. Love what you did with the Mercenaries. I personally plan to just make each Merc a different character so that people know who they have. Looks pretty awesome so far

That looks fantastic. It's really coming on now. How's your casting going? I've just done enough for my next quarter. It gets so boring doing the casting, I can't wait to get back to building. I just ordered a new mold to help build furniture etc. Number 225. I can't wait to see your completed board. Great work.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone. I have enough casts to build the walls on the next section of board.
That half timber mold will be useful Figo, i'm sure you will create some cool furniture with that. Even though i have some resin furniture coming soon from the Twisting Catacombs kickstarter, i still fancy the challenge of building my own using hirst arts. Maybe i'll order more molds in the future to do this but for now, dungeon construction is the priority!
