What scale Dollhouse fits?

Yesterday I came across THIS SITE, in which the following scales are listed:

1 Inch (1:12)
½ Inch (1:24)
¼ Inch (1:48)

I don't know if those are accurate, or even if there is really an industry standard, but there is a certain logic to it. I stumbled across the site by accident while looking for "Printies" for basing and the like (Yeah, like I'm ever going to get back into that...*Chuckle*...), but still, this years Christmas exchange did, almost, motivate me to think about jumping back in.

These are "printable" models, not in the sense of 3D print, but papercraft = print on cardboard and glue together.
In short, they are image files.
So, with the slightest expertise in computing, you should be able to rescale them to any size you want.
However, I did a short search and found, while the flat objects are beautiful, the papercraft objects are rather simplistic and not very convincing.

I think they look great (some pieces are too "modern" and would have to be sorted out, but still), they only need a decent paint job.
Would like to buy them, seeing the very affordable price, but 13$ shipping is too much. There should be a way to not having to have sent them from China to US and then back to Europe.

I think you missed the point of the post. I was simply referring to the fact that I had stumbled across a site that (Finally) listed the scales, which was in the context of the OP question.

As far as papercraft goes, there is MUCH better papercraft terrain available on the market, and lot's of free stuff too. Regardless, my post was only pointing to a scale reference.

Thus my Hobbit comment. Hobbits tend to be more 'civilized' and modern than the other cultures surrounding them. Or maybe it's simply the fact that they do not rely on magic makes them rely on artisanship and technology (they have fairly advanced clockwork, which has a very modern feel, does it not?) Humans cultures, living at the same time as Hobbits, tend to feel more rough and rugged.
Even then, there should be a limit to modernity in a dungeon.

And that, I've found, is the trick. You could spend way more on nicer pieces... These are at the very low end of price and quality, and even that may be too much (and not enough) for us.

I bought a similar set at a hobby store years ago. I believe that is (HO scale?) for trains.
