A game within a game

Postby aaronAGN » October 18th, 2017, 9:33 am

Hey everyone.
Trying to come up with ideas for D&D/Dungeons & Dragons "knock-off" names.
Wizards & Warriors
Mazes & Monsters
Tomes & Tombs
Etc.
For the characters in my campaign to play in-game.
Can anyone come up with any more?

I seem to remember a comic of D&D characters playing "offices and taxes" or something like that. Was pretty funny, though I can't find it anywhere right now :-/

How about:

Caves & Creatures

Labyrinths & Lizards

Castles & Crusaders

Crypts & Coffins

Vaults & Vampires

Catacombs & Chimeras

... Hmmm, lots of "C" words... I suppose you could mix and match any two of them.
It's like a new pair of underwear; at first it's constrictive, but after a while it becomes a part of you. I have to go...

Many years ago, l wrote a mini game system for the heroes of our Dark Eye campain tol play in-game. Well, they purchased it, but never played it. I named it "Abenteuer ungeheuer", which would translate into English as "Adventures / Monsters" or "Monstrous Aventures", but the rhyme is lost in translation.
Have a look ;)

Just imagining right now a dwarf, a wizard, an elf and a Barbarian playing offices and taxes in the evening around the campfire. That's hilarious.

Maybe dropping the "and" aspect and focusing on just the alliteration.
Like :

The Fires of Fantasy
or
Tomes of Terror

Any other suggestions?

Mountain(s) of Misery

Does it have to be & or of, I understand that you are trying to do a spin-off type deal but can it have other words in the title?

Like...

Terror of the Tomes sounds a little better to me.
Terror in the Tombs / Tombs of Terror (although that’s close to what you already said)
:skeleton: "In The End We Are All Shadows and Dust" :skeleton:
