MY 3D BOARDGAME...

Postby gravaillon » January 19th, 2012, 4:30 am

Here is a work in progress which I have begun 2 days ago...
I have decided to make a 3D Board for heroquest, based on the original's one.

I know, I'm not the first to do that... Just one more crazy guy...

Love the furnature...hate the board.
All in all though I have to give you props on the board whether I like it or not. Looks like it was allot of work.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

Hory Clap.

Can you imagine playing a game on a board like that?

Very Cool. But why blue hallways? They just don't work for me. (But then again I wouldn't have the paitence to paint 1 square so I should probably keep my mouth shut. :) )

The paint job of board is extremely good. I can’t imagine how anyone could do it better. But it isn’t as detailed as the original, so if I had to choose, I choose the illustrated. Also, the colors are very bright and the distant shot looks like a mosaic. Maybe if you could draw the white lines between the rooms, and some black brushing at the upper-left walls for the shadows, could be more realistic. The blue color for the corridors is a bad choice… But I have to say that some of the rooms are similar or maybe better than the original.

Thanks to all (even to people who are not agree with my choices)
Why blue corridors ? Simply because I haven't enough money to buy black paint... But I will repaint them in grey, it's better and more readable.
The white line for the wall is a bad idea because you can put wall ! I haven't done them yet, but it's a project. You can put them in the holes around the rooms...
It is just a first try, and it's hard to do, but personnaly I prefer this board to the original... It's more deep, the relief is very great... If only you could see it for real, my photos are not as good as they must be...Sorry

The board appears to be made from foam.
