Basing Mini Question (Otherworld Minis)

Postby Weltenlaeufer » May 9th, 2019, 1:20 pm

Hey everyone,

I just got a few new alternative Hero minis from Otherworld, an elf thief, an elf fighter and a mysterious dude! They are metal and I am thinking about putting them on one of Thantos Heroquest bases. Any tips on how to do that? They have this base and I am wondering how to get it off without breaking the whole thing so I can glue it to the plastic base.

Use clippers to cut as close to the feet as possible, then file down.

I generally wouldn't recommend doing that though, since metal models break off bases too easily if glued on by only feet. It would be far better to cut a slot on the plastic base instead and just trim off a bit of the metal tab. A Dremel or similar rotary cutter makes quick work of it.

You can use HeroQuest slotta bases!
Moulded in resin from an original base with a slotta hole so you don't have to break your miniatures.
Here is an example.

I really like those elf models but what is the thing the second one is holding in his outstretched hand? Thinking I might have to get some of these.

He's passing the cannabis to another hero...

@ Pancho I guess its a wand. He is an Elf Warrior Mage.

They got great miniatures, also for NPCs! Planning to get some more eventually.

But he appears to be passing that duchy on the right hand side.

Would you mind taking a photo of these models beside an original Heroquest hero. Just for comparison. Thanks.

Here you go, not the best photo but I hope its okay to get an idea. The new ones are slightly tilted backwards because they are not fixed in the base yet.
