Chaos ensues

Postby MadMickyG » May 6th, 2015, 2:29 am

Just got my ebay delivery of 6 Chaos Archers.

Now the decision to use some or all of the bows on other monsters, or keep the Chaos archers for murder and mayhem.
Decisions, decisions.

And I'll need a card for them too methinks.

Oh, 6 bases were included with the miniatures, but they dont fit. :(
Time for some modification...or scraping at least.

Keep them, I think there's a monster card for them somewhere here, with the chaos archer art from battlemasters.

Possibly the plastic ones from Battlemasters / Claymore-saga / Ridderstrijd
Their slotta was a little too thick for regular citadel slotta bases but can be sanded or cut to fit. dunno why im saying this.. i just don't want to go to work today xD

Got the figures of eBay, total of $19 including postage.
There is another set on eBay for $22.50 with furniture, two Chaos archers and a merc, but I seriously dont need more furniture. Plus we're a little low on fundage at the moment.
Bought a big box of stuff previously, had some mercenary archers, some polearm mercenaries along with a few mixed up figurines, including a Warhammer Quest elf. Makes a perfect ranger figurine. I chopped up the mercenaries to make orc, goblin and skelly archers. Might remake the Fimir archer too.

Thanks Sjeng, I'll check for the Chaos archer image. I may still make my own though.

I'll get some pics up to prove it QorDaq, just for you.

Thanks Diggin, I was going to trim the slot in the base, but your way makes more sense. :D

Edit: Heres an image of the miniatures.

Image

Tempted to use a horse and archer, or maybe a Chaos Warrior, to make a centaur.
Saw this attempt,

but I feel the archer and horse size were mismatched. I like it, but the lack of symmetry would annoy me I think.

That's because the new chaos cavalry horse minis are larger than what the old GW generic plastic horses that they used to do. I think if It were on the older un-barded plastic horse it would fit much better and make a funky centaur.

Old thread of mine, but got my Warhammer Ogre delivered today.

Its base looks like its 3 1/2 to 4 squares in size. I need to make a Giant Ogre (I know they are considered giants already) but this thing will be almost twice the size of an AtOH Ogre.
Will do a picture comparing the two soon.

EDIT: Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeres Ogeeeey!

AtOH Ogre on the right!

It most definitely is the Ogre from Battlemasters.

Despite different size and added details it looks exactly like the ones from AtOH! What gives? Are Battlemasters made by the same people?
