Nope. Everyone's invited to post ideas, critique, discussion, even debate, and pictures here. I'd like this to be a discussion thread more than it is now. Derail the thread of the king of derailers, I can bring it back on track with new pictures. All's fair.
I mean, if I post something I'm proud(ish) of, get two reactions and then I'm the next one posting again, it feels a little hollow sometimes... I know not everyone is interested in the painting aspect of this hobby, but I gladly answer questions, and generally discuss painting here. The Rookery has been used for that before and I love that thread.
I do like that tank. Orkish, right? Far better OSL than I have managed and I really like dirt and dust effects, which I'll use the pigments for.
For things like the clothes and bones of the undead, for bases, on furniture and doors, and so on.
I've never heard of pigments being used with glue... There are a few other ways, however.
Bring them on with water or isopropyl alcohol, which will evaporate, and then fix it with varnish and/or Artists' Fixierspray. Visiting an idee store works wonders for creativity, I tell you.
Or mix it with pigment fixer and bring it on.
Or put down pigment fixer heavily and then the pigment, in several "layers" to achieve an accumulated grime effect.
Either way I'll do it, I won't do it on places where the grabby greasy hands of my Single Malt sipping, cheese in chilli dipping friends grope them.
