So, I thought I would share with you all some customized miniatures.

First up--Female Dwarf.

I took a DDM Dwarf chick, cut out her middle and various other pieces to size her to scale with the HQ minis. I then used liquid green stuff on her until all the crevices went away.

Next--the Heroes





I basically drilled holes and applied liquid greenstuff until they looked like they do now. Not happy with the hyper-detailed photos, though. Makes them look like they're made out of ugly.

Last--The Guardian of Grin's Crag



Basically, I had a broken Gargoyle, and thought that I could make a "Crag themed" version for KK. I got a vulture-headed one in the end. Also includes bits from GW crap.

My favourite is the HQ dwarf. Classic pose for a dwarf warrior.

Ha! I was also thinking the same. Awesome job on the Dwarf. I also love the Barbarian's battle axe.

AX-BATTLER! So THAT'S where the Barb got to!

The two axes were made by using a razor saw to sever bits, and cut down toothpicks; a pin-vice to make holes in hands (use a knife to carve a cross over the spot on the hand you want to drill down through to add the spar for the axes--use the center of the cross to anchor your drill head). For the dwarf's arm, I cut off the old one, carved off the elbow, connected back on by pinning wire between holes drilled on each, and then flexed it into the position I liked best. I then filled in the arm with green stuff.

You can basically just smear it into the cracks, and then brush it off. Because I wanted to create the female dwarf to look like a Heroquest miniature, I even went so far as to brush it into her details to dumb them down a bit.
