I'd be honored and thrilled to be part of such a project.

I don't exactly know what you mean by me having plastic minis in my blood. I seem to have a good memory where this and that mini comes from, when it was published, things like that.
However, if I can help, I will.
I know I want certain things... female dwarf, female wizard, sir ragnar, various character figures,
Orcs with crossbows, goblins with spears, spririt riders, dwarf skeletons... you know the deal.

I am already about to start compiling lists of specific minis needed (or wanted) for the original quests. One of many projects, right now.
Also, I would take into consideration the White Dwarf published quests: skaven, trolls, things like that.
If it all comes together I will happily put work in this as far as it's cut out for me and vice versa.

Make a list of original miniatures needed to run through the whole damn thing. When one mini can be altered into another (sword orc to cleaver orc, for example) its called a 'conversion'. So, for instance, we can make a non-Chaos Warlock version of Balur the Fire Mage by converting Zanrath. And for the case with the goblins, we can have scimitar, axe, straight sword, spear & sling.

We may as well go all out in the planning--this is for "us" after all.

Daedalus suggested in another thread that a 3D printer can print mini's. Did I miss that in this thread or is this like the best idea in the world?

You could probably make the best minis ever, but it would still probably be prohibitively expensive.

Well, I'm willing to contribute to whatever idea's anyone has to get more HeroQuest style mini's. I set aside a few hundred bucks every month just for HeroQuest. If I don't purchase anything, I just keep saving. Like I said, I'm in, just need to know what the plan is.

And I want a damn MINOTAUR in the end of this project!!!!

Firstly, there is a minotaur for the Wizard Quest--at least, there's concept art for one.

Second, paying a 3D graphics designer usually costs more than hiring a sculptor by hand, and the error correction ratio for getting a model printing out right is staggeringly expensive. Each original green will cost about $250 - $300 with Mark, with conversions likely costing half of that. Mark Evans sculpted everything you see in the below photo for $270.

Mass production (best started when we have 8+ greens) starts with $100 for the master mold, and then the production mold (6-10 replicas of each master) typically running $65 each. One "spin" from a production mold is usually about $3 or $4 dollars. The costs for the whole production phase would be covered by the Kickstarter, however.

I spent about $5,000 - $6,000 on my company's products, and I had 21 or 22 figures before I sold most of them to another company (including the above orc). I also paid for original concept art on many of them.

I sure as heck dont have $6,000 to give, but if you or "we" can come up with a for sure plan to start rolling out some production mini's, hire Mr. Evans or whatever, I'm in for $500.00 right at the start. And I can swing more later on if things shape up. But for that kind of money, I would hope I can get a few sets for free after each production run.

And, for $250.00, Mr. Evens can sculpt a Minotaur for me!

Hey fella's now I'm serious here. What is the plan? Are we doing anything here with this or are we just talking out of our butts? I have a 3d sculptor on the hook from Greece who does unbelievable work and I do not know what to tell him.

If Milton Bradley went on to make more HQ, what would they have released, what new mini's do we want or does everyone want originals? Don't you guys make me do this alone. I'm scared!

Originals. Minis that are needed but not provided for the original HQ quests or even fanmade quests.
Monster variations and character minis.
Skaven, Trolls, your minotaur, Spiders, Goblins with bows, Orcs with crossbows, a stoney looking Gargoyle, Skulmar, Kessandria...

Yay! My Minotaur. Cool, can you guys give me 3 days to get all the info I can from the 3d model guy Nick? For $500 I'm sure I can get at least 3 of the listed models above done.

So, Nick emailed me since my last post, he asked for a lot of details and I sent him lots of HQ mini pics. Says he will email me back in a bit.
