Fimir basecoated. I'm just going to finish them and then get back to the Chaos Warriors. It's good to get these greenskins out of the way and then reset with Chaos dudes before the dreaded Orc batch.

Also, anyone reading this thread. Which Chaos Warrior do you prefer? The one with the metal plate on his chest or the one with the red plate?

Here's the before and after on the Fimir, still gotta finish the bases but that shouldn't take too long.

I really took my time with the skin, its about 6-7 different layers and it retroactively makes me dislike the paint job I did on the Goblins since I was clearly rushing and not in the painting spirit at the time. So I won't strip the goblins (at least not yet) but I may paint Kellars Keep goblins in this style once I'm done with the base game and use those as my main game Goblins if they come out better. Next up are the Chaos Warriors, still want some feedback as to which version you guys like better, the one with the painted plate on his chest or the one without it painted. (see above)

I would paint the CWs with the plate. It always seemed to me like a clasping device for attaching the armor.

Haven't had much time to paint this week but I sat down and basecoated the Chaos Sorcerer. He has a nice simple strong design so he was a joy to basecoat and it was fairly quick. I went by the box art since he doesn't have a card, gave his skin a bit more of a sickly undercoat to work up to that pale hue he has on the box.

Now I have the Chaos Warriors and Sorcerer basecoated I can start finishing them up. Then all that's left is the Gargoyle and Orcs.

I will continue to assert that although your revised paint jobs are technically flawless and wonderful to see, I still have love for the older, less-"perfect" versions, and I think you should leave one of each as-is for archival purposes, and to see how much you've grown as a painter over time!
