Where is a good place to order small square HeroQuest bases to glue a mini to?
Like the WH bases with the slits that the minis fit into?

The slots bases that a lot of Warhammer minis use can be found all over. However, I buy my rectangular ones for HeroQuest from Zealot. They're the European-style ones with the little ledge, as opposed to the American ones with the rounded base, but they work just the same. I used them for my Skaven and will be getting more for my Beastmen and others.

I believe they're currently out of stock, but they seem to replenish on a fairly regular basis and Thantos might be able to tell you more.

Thantos has some. They are without slit. They are made from resin, not plastic. They are fairly good.

I'm looking. Any way to find ones with the rounded edges? All I see are regular squares.
Will 25mm bases be the right size?
Should I get bigger? 30mm ?

Warhammer bases are square. 25mm is HQ size.

For slotted I like the straight slotted (harder to find) and not the diagonal.

If you're just looking for the rectangular HQ bases (not the slotta kind that WH uses), I think Zealot might be your best bet. I haven't really been able to find others anywhere else. They sell out frequently there, but they will almost certainly be back in stock, maybe within the next month or two. As for the rounded-lip American ones (used by both the NA base game and DragonStrike), I don't think those are sold anywhere. I'm personally good with the Zealot ones with the ledges because the expansions for the last 4 expansions (even the Elf and Barbarian Quest ones which were made only in the US) have the ledge bases. Your mileage may vary, though.

Careful with that. The squares on the board are even smaller, so using too many figures on these Warhammer bases will clusterfuck the board up even more.
Some of the smaller older Warhammer models are on 20 mm bases. Skeletons, Goblins, Skinks, Skaven...

Chaos Warriors, Beastmen, and using the footsoldiers to replace mercenary minis.
So I figured 25mm square bases with the straight slot is what I should use right?

Also, I'm planning on grabbing just a big Lot.
So I'll have a ton of extras.

That does help a lot. I can't offer any more info, unfortunately, since I just cut those slots off my minis to put them on HQ bases. I did it with my Skaven and I'm planning on doing with with both my WHQ and Battlemasters Beastmen.
