Yeah, me too. Love that understatement concerning the Descent minis.

Im also in process of writing a step by step running through me making the fireplace for heroquest...not far of finished...ive spent the last week making the fireplace when i get chance, taking photos an updating the post as i go....maybe i should of just took photos instead of writing and indepth step by step :)

I mean your painting of the Descent minis. I actually like some of them that way.
I like the detail of the heroes but the fact FFG keeps producing minis out of 28mm scale pisses me off to no end.
The heroes would be useable for HQ, but nooo... just... F**K!

Some of the monsters I can use; the Ettin; the Merriod (in theory)...
I agree with you on most of the monsters: the spiders and goblins, e.g., are complete and utter crap. Thoroughly frustrating.

But your painting remains top-notch. Your calling it "tabletop standard", your getting-done-and-never-look-at-them-again-attitude, and using quickshade do not lower its quality or appeal.

Found this on google, decided to add my two cents...

I can't get over the OP barb's clenched buttocks... Great paint job, love him from the front, but now I can't look away from that posterior!

@___@ Perhaps the glare of torchlight in the reflection of a barbarian's clenched bare buttocks blinds goblins??
