Update time again! Wizard is done, and progress is being made on made on some mummies. Decided I should work on some monsters and 'reward' myself with working on some heroes, before I finish them all and suddenly get bogged down on Goblins (Which made sense in my head... and then I started on Mummies... )

Image

Just like the Elf before this, you can see my original Wizard, circa 1991-ish, versus the new iteration. The flash is still brutal and I'll just simply have to learn to live with it until I have a proper photo booth setup.

I do love the old green bases though: Comical now, but I remember them being so downright wicked back in the day.

Image

Back of the new Wizard has a nebula on it, bit hard to tell after the lighting, but I am pleased with the result.

Image

First two heroes are done, and first couple of monsters. This screamed 'diorama' time to me! So the Wizard and the Elf get ready to battle some zombies to snag some treasure!

Thanks for the encouraging words guys! I appreciate the positive vibes! |_P

I've spent a great deal of time scrubbing miniatures, so that hasn't been terribly exciting. However, I did get a couple of mummies for my core set done up! In my effort to grab a couple of easy ones to do, I picked something that takes forever, since every single bandage seems to need to be highlighted and some have to be 'faked' since the detail never made it onto the model. Still though, the undead portion of my first core set is almost done, with skeletons being left over!

Still working on the whole photography thing. No flash this time, but details still are being lost. You can barely even tell they have eyes... oh well!

Lot of bandages to bei painted; yes, but rare color changes; so it should be quite fast.
Your's are looking quite good! :)

Not as much done today as I hoped, but I did get my first batch of greenskins started. A few are still bathing in Simple Green, since the flails seem to be particularly stubborn, but I figured this way I could get them started.

Tomorrow I should be able to get the weapons, shoes, and gold bitz done and then move on to their diminutive cousins.

Nice skintone. Also, the vests really look like leather. Well done, mate!

Thank you for the feedback guys, it's really appreciated!

Last few days have been spent getting more cleaned up, filed down, and primed, so not terribly exciting. However, here's a progress shot of my first core set.

Image

Missing from the shot is the Barbarian, a goblin with a hatchet, one fimir, and the Gargoyle... those guys decided to be difficult and are requiring more soak time :D

I also added in the female Barbarian and Elf... having almost nothing to do with my attempts to bribe my wife into playing as well...
