Sir Ragnar finished! I think he came out pretty good, thank you Lestodante for the recommendations. I feel he fits in as a model that could've come with the base set. Going to finish up the gargoyle next, got a little distracted building terrain for Warcry lol.

Obviously I was unable to complete this challenge by 2022 as I got distracted by several things. I began voice acting and working on my own board game, and all of my painting time was spent on Warcry (another Games Workshop game). I still have the Gargoyle and the Orcs remaining to paint for the base game (furniture excluded) so I WILL get to them soon, I have just been very busy with family and side projects and painting has taken a backseat. My eldest will turn 4 in April and we probably won't start Heroquest sessions until he is 5, so I still have time to finish the base game haha.
Examples of some of the warbands I painted:

I hope you all had a great 2022 and a happy New Year. An email notification of a message from the Kurgan reminded me of yeoldeinn as life goes on and I will make it a point to catch up on the goings on of Heroquest, my favorite game.

You have far more patience and willingness to take the time than I do. Your minis look great. When/IF I get around to doing mine I'm planning to just do the zenithal priming technique and use contrast paints. Wham, bam an done.

Really amazing set! I love how the style looks like it could fit in with both minis from 1987 and 2024 :D Thanks for sharing the finished lineup. It's inspiring to see
