Frozen Horror was not released in French, so the only way we'd have it is if a fan developed a French translation. The way to do that is … a little complex at the moment. You'd basically want to go find the 1990 (US) version of the expansion's cards and the like, then (and possibly some of the base US game's cards) and start recreating 1989 edition compatible cards, translate stuff … it's a big process.

It's a big process I hope we can make easier to do at some point, but I want to step carefully in doing that with The Frozen Horror in particular because it's something Hasbro is getting ready to release for the 2021 edition. Hasbro is well aware of the Inn and what we've got for download. As long as we aren't interfering with their profit potential, they seem inclined to leave us be.

That said, Pulse exclusives got posted to Reddit and Hasbro felt the need to intervene when it comes to that. I didn't get (wasn't trying to get) copies before they were pulled. If you got them beforehand, send me a DM. I'm not obligated to tell anyone at Hasbro that you did, and Hasbro's only going to intervene if you post them for download somewhere. Which is why we're not going to do that.

If I end up with scans (sent to me or made myself), the Inn will have copies. They can't go up on the downloads page, sorry, but … they'll be saved. Right now, they're crowdfunding perks that don't exist anywhere else and you want to give Hasbro the option to possibly make products with/based on/out of those perks in the future.

This is my local copy of ftp site directly. So basically, we don't have anything for The Frozen Horror in French in the downloads section, yet. Which doesn't mean it doesn't/won't exist. There's a suggestion that some stuff is on the forum, but I haven't dug into that yet. If it was and was supposed to migrate to the downloads folder … we need to locate those and I can totally add them.

After GenCon, I'm going to remind (read: pester) Encarmine again about my request to produce more accessible versions of the retail quest books and whatnot. Like, actually asking Hasbro's permission to do it, etc. If that's approved and we've managed to lose the French fan adaptation of Frozen Horror, that project might make it reasonably easier to recreate what's been lost.

Ideally Avalon Hill would release all the things in the 12+ languages the originals were plus new languages too.. And have them on shelves near you six months ago. Also new quest packs. (I mean, I don't think my request is unreasonable, does anyone else?) :lol:

Where did those links come from? If i do a find on all .pdf files in francias.yeoldeinn.com, I get:

Ah, I see it, I didn't notice the second quest book link when I looked quickly. The two items missing files are:

I'll bet drathe has these and forgot to put them up. Whether he's got a chance to go digging for them or not, I don't know. But if someone else has them from Gravaillon, I can post them. He's not been on in the past couple of months (I'll send a PM).

They might be linked somewhere on his site maybe? The font he's using is … very difficult for me, so combined with the fact that I don't speak French, it's really hard for me to find anything there with my eyes. I'm happy to get the files up on the site though—and can do likewise for any others. It'd take all of 5 minutes since the files are already linked and I just need to put them in the right folder.

Gravallion's French version of The Frozen Horror and the FH cards aren't yet available. On 12/01/21 he mentioned he is working on it, but it would take more than a few months to complete for download. It will be released in the upcoming Original Campaign Volume 2: Revised Edition.

So we wait. If any Inn member checks his HQ V2 blog and sees that Volume 2 is ready, posting that news here would be a good idea.
