I recently bought the first 26 - the fantasy part (I can't be bothered by Sci-Fi) - sadly without the playing piece pages in the back.
The seller re-funded me a third of the selling price because of that.
As with everything I have ever collected, this is about nostalgia and I freely admit it.

One day I'll get around to scanning the parts in the back.
One day.

Goblin-king... That second book you posted, Citadel of Chaos made me realise, The forest of doom book must be a second edition. At least they used the same art but changed the banners. The latest Forest of Doom looks like some kind of homie lizard, gesturing "yo homie" Not intimidating at all. You can't even see any reference of a forest and there's no feeling of Doom what so ever.

So of the first 10 or so it's the second editions I prefer. The dragon banners!

Good work on that beholder disguising itself as a warrior.

As for FF box sets. 20 books at that price is a wicked deal but for 10 not so. The 20 book box set was just too expensive for me. These aren't expensive novels singularly. Not forgetting most major more expensive novels come in a buy 1 get 1 free or 3 for 2 etc.

Edit: That linked ebay auctions quite a good deal. I was on about the new price in stores, my bad.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fighting-Fant ... 0826819290? even cheaper and new.
But it's got to be the old ones for me.

Well, I made an offer for £10,- on this set, volume 1-10.
I got a reply that he doesn't ship outside of the UK :( Shipping within the UK is £3,-, and shipping to the NL is about £11,- according to eBay.
Maybe someone from the UK could help me with these? Drop me a pm.
