Thanks for the replies! I guess the jury is still out on this one for me. But I'll probably pick it up to check it out eventually.

True. But they tend to be the better ones, or at least those you can stuff your dungeon with (orcs, undead, kobolds...).

I know I'm very late to the game. So I doubt anyone might notice this reply.
But I'm currently replaying through the HeroQuest campaigns with my friends. We're doing add-ons, so we decided to use Castle Ravenloft stuff as a self-made (tweaked) expansion.
But I don't like the miniature for Count Strahd at all. Can anyone recommend some good Vampire Minis that more closely resemble the good Count?

I know Reaper Bones has a variety of vamps in a few different styles.

Yeah I've been using their search options. Gonna keep looking.
I've also talked to a guy that does custom commissioned miniature sculpts.
But I'm too broke to afford any of that.
I can't justify spending THAT kind of money on one sculpt.
I'll keep looking.
Thanks.

Looks like it's been a while since anyone posted here. Any fellow Heroquesters still playing Castle Ravenloft?

I have it, have played it a bit, and quite enjoyed it, but when I tried it with my brother, who loves HQ, he didn't like it at all.

I've played it a few times now over the past year and just recently this past weekend with my cousin who is a HeroQuest pro. With just 2 players it was more fun to run through Ravenloft since we could be on the same team, RPing the events as they happened and laughing hysterically as we rolled miserably low for our attacks.

I have the first two games in the series (Ravenloft and Wrath) and both are fun and quick. It's not really an exploration game, rather more of a "now deal with this and run!" kinda experience. Not bad though, fun in short bursts. I've yet to use the minis with Heroquest but the scale is close so it is possible to do. If you can pick up a copy cheaply (and since the game is 10 years old now you can usually find them for ~$30) then it's worth it for the minis alone :)
