Armory Shops

Postby monnock777 » September 13th, 2020, 3:41 pm

So here is my first draft on my Heroquest armory. I did it as shop so when my kids are buy gear they can all have one to look at. So Green dice are (2)skulls, (3)shield, (1)black shield. Yellow dice are (4)skulls, (1)shield, (1)black shield. The Blue are (2)skulls, (1)double skull, (1) shield, (1)double shield, (1) black shield. I keep going back and forth on if I like the colored dice or not. They seem like a good idea, but I am still on the fence with it. I know I've seen other use black shield and re-rolls instead. Does any one have hard data on that? If any one has some ideas on how I can improve my armory or what they have done that works for them, I would love to here it.

The two biggest things I am contemplating to use colored dice or not. The second is in between my new heros of the paladin and cleric along with the armory shopsnis all the additional healing stuff. I think I need to pair it down a bit. Either with the number of healing spells or limit what healing stuff the heros can buy.

Not sure why you would want to get rid of the colored dice. A lot of members use them in there games now a days and have created custom shops and cards using them.

As for the healing stuff, you will have to make some test runs with it and see how well they work. The same would go with your colored dice on the weapons and armor.

Hope that helps...a little. |_P

So far the array of healing stuff really helps early on but in late game, when player have excess money they have way to much access to healing.

Many more people don't have them or use them, so using coloured dice narrows your audience.

So, I order colored dice last night, might as well try them out for a while if i don't like it i can always take them back out of the game. Now just have to review and update my shops a few more time.

Where did you order the colored dice from? I've seen them before and would like to order a set for my collection

Elven Woodland Bow not usable by the Elf
I'm guessing you rebranded the elf into ranger?

Bastard sword gives 32 white dice and 1 blue die one handed or 3 white dice and 1 blue die two handed... Has anyone ever used this weapon two handed?
Silly typos aside, this looks very impressive.
What are the sides on the different colored dice and where can one find them for purchase if interested?
