Not from what I gathered. The point wasn't to have a solo game, it was to add a competitive aspect resulting in a single victor. Up to 5 people can play. Four as Heroes and one as Zargon.

Heroquest with one person defeats the purpose to me. It makes it simply un-magical.
Check out my new character: Halfling! I promise you will consider using it!

Gerwin Broers (http://members.quicknet.nl/lm.broers/hquest.htm, he created a nice PC-game) uses exp points in his game. I mailed him what formula he uses. Actually, it's quite a good one that could also be used for my scoring system.

It is inflicted wounds * (attack dice of target+ defend dice of target). So if you kill a monster that has 2 attack dice and one defend die and only 1 body point, you get 1 * (2+1) = 3 exp points. If a monster has 3 body points, 4 attack dice and 4 defend dice and you successfully steal him two body points in an attack, you get 2* (4+4) = 16 points.

This formula is used for physcial damage only. If a spell decreases body points you get inflicted wounds * (2* attack dice + defend dice) points.

HeroQuest without a dunjeon master was the subject.
Why are you falling in points ?

Just copy the warhammer quest system to HQ :
one table to know which quest you are doing : roll some dices and start.
one deck to exploration (corridors, doors, rooms)
one for the furniture, special element (stairs etc)
one for the monsters traps/ secret doors etc
one for the treasures

no need a GM like this.

Yes, HQ without a dungeon master OR with a dm but also with a scoring system. :)

Where can I download the rules of Warhammer Quest?
