i think you're spot on with the numbers. If not mathematically correct in the sense of all possible given circumstances, then at least with the intuitiveness of relations between them. I've never been a fan of calculating HeroQuest - and I've seen many many methods - from the intuitive to the impossibly uninteresting equation stuff I can't even describe, much less understand or take interest in. This is the most interesting so far, because it's intuitive, simple, and it looks good. Like a chart in a rulebook.

Wow i think my brain just died alot of math in my opinion but agree with ideas on how it seems to add up do you have plans on how the experince will come into play yet like how much to level up or how to use it?

The Battle axe vs a weapon with 3 Attack is about 10% more chances to kill a monster with 1 Body point, which is a lot. For example:
3 Attack vs 2 Defense you have a chance of 76% to do at least 1 damage.
4 Attack vs 2 Defense you have a chance of 85% to do at least 1 damage.
3 Attack vs 4 Defense you have a chance of 64% to do at least 1 damage.
4 Attack vs 4 Defense you have a chance of 75% to do at least 1 damage.

For those who are interested for the maths, check the calculations bellow:
Image

Let’s say it’s a 3 Attack vs 2 Defense, and the monster has 1 Body (Orc)
The chances to kill it are:
1 Skull on x3 dices, vs 0 BShields on x2 dices=0.38x0.69=0.2622
2 Skull on x3 dices, vs 0 BShields on x2 dices=0.38x0.69=0.2622
2 Skull on x3 dices, vs 1 BShields on x2 dices=0.38x0.28=0.1064
3 Skull on x3 dices, vs anything=0.13
Sum=0.2622+0.2622+0.1064+0.13=0,7608 or else 76% to kill it with one hit

With a battle axe it’s 4 Attack vs 2 Defense, and the monster has 1 Body (Orc)
The chances to kill it are:
1 Skull on x4 dices, vs 0 BShields on x2 dices=0.25x0.69=0.1725
2 Skull on x4 dices, vs 0 BShields on x2 dices=0.38x0.69=0.2622
2 Skull on x4 dices, vs 1 BShields on x2 dices=0.38x0.28=0.1064
3 Skull on x4 dices, vs anything=0.25
4 Skull on x4 dices, vs anything=0.06
Sum=0.1725+0.2622+0.1064+0.25+0.06=0.8511 or else 85%

Now let’s say it’s a 3 Attack vs 4 Defense, and the monster has 1 Body (Chaos)
The chances to kill it are:
1 Skull on x3 dices, vs 0 BShields on x4 dices=0.38x0.48=0,1824
2 Skull on x3 dices, vs 0 BShields on x4 dices=0.38x0.48=0,1824
2 Skull on x3 dices, vs 1 BShields on x4 dices=0.38x0.39=0,1482
3 Skull on x3 dices, vs 0 BShields on x4 dices=0.13x0.48=0,0624
3 Skull on x3 dices, vs 1 BShields on x4 dices=0.13x0.39=0,0507
3 Skull on x3 dices, vs 2 BShields on x4 dices=0.13x0.12=0,0156
Sum=0,6417or else 64% to do at least 1 damage

With 4 Attack vs 4 Defense, and the monster has 1 Body (Chaos)
The chances to kill it are:
1 Skull on x4 dices, vs 0 BShields on x4 dices=0.25x0.48= 0,12
2 Skull on x4 dices, vs 0 BShields on x4 dices=0.38x0.48=0,1824
2 Skull on x4 dices, vs 1 BShields on x4 dices=0.38x0.39=0,1482
3 Skull on x4 dices, vs 0 BShields on x4 dices=0.25x0.48=0,12
3 Skull on x4 dices, vs 1 BShields on x4 dices=0.25x0.39=0,0975
3 Skull on x4 dices, vs 2 BShields on x4 dices=0.25x0.12=0,03
4 Skull on x4 dices, vs 0 BShields on x4 dices=0.06x0.48=0,0288
4 Skull on x4 dices, vs 1 BShields on x4 dices=0.06x0.39=0,0234
4 Skull on x4 dices, vs 2 BShields on x4 dices=0.06x0.12=0,0072
4 Skull on x4 dices, vs 3 BShields on x4 dices=0.06x0.02=0,0012
Sum=0,7587 or else 75% to do at least 1 damage

I'll admit 10% is a lot, and probably worth more than what the shield would comparably give you defense-wise.

chaoticprime wrote:Heroes' Mean Defense Roll = 2 combat dice (1 white shield).

How did you come up with the Heroe's Mean Defense Roll of 2? No matter how I try I keep getting at least 3.
(Though that doesn't really matter as 3 dice at a 1/3 chance to roll a white shield = 1 white shield rolled, which is what you already had down.)

chaoticprime wrote:Movement Value : EQP = '(((MV*2)-6)/6)-1'

Though this doesn't change the result of your formula it can be simplified to EQP = (MV/3)-2

chaoticprime wrote:
MV = 1...4 -1 EQP
MV = 5...10 +0 EQP
MV = 11+ +1 EQP

Small error in your calculations: (Your chart up above is correct though so I assume this may be a typo)
Move 1-4: -1 EQP
Move 5-7: 0 EQP
Move 8-10: +1 EQP

chaoticprime wrote:Attack Dice : EQP = '(1+AD/2)'

This time there is a small error with your formula
you have 2 choices
a.) EQP = AD/2 (Round up all numbers ending in .5)
or
b.) EQP = (1+AD)/2 (Round down all numbers ending in .5)

chaoticprime wrote:Body Points: EQP = '((BP+0.25)/1.5)'

Why did you add in the extra .25? You get the same results without it. (and you don't need to add a note to round down all numbers ending in .5)

chaoticprime wrote:Mind Points: EQP = '(MP/2.5)'

Souldn't this be If MP > 2, then EQP = +1, else EQP = 0? (as you note that anything above 5 is still +1)

I really like the system that you have going and may borrow it myself, I just have a math formula fetish. (Lets leave it at that)
