Eye of the Beholder Adaptation

Postby Redav » November 7th, 2013, 8:38 pm

Just wondering whether anyone has tried to adapt Eye of the Beholder to HeroQuest? Obviously there's a difference in gaming mechanic however I wonder whether the square layout lends itself to it? There's probably a few elements within the game that you could use like locks and pads and stuff.

I have not tried, but if you want to collaborate, I'm in. I've played through the game on the Sega-CD and the SNES.

I've been toying with attempting to work some D&D and forgotten realms games/settings
into HQ. Not sure how it would work yet, since, as you've stated, the game mechs are so different.
I think it could lead to a whole river of new quest packs, though, if we could work that out somehow.

One day I wouldn't mind but I'd be hesitant to commit to anything as work's full on and we have a toddler soaking up heaps of time, as it is, it's taken me a week to get back to this thread

How did they play? I've only played them on PC. I'm about two thirds of the way through the first one and the plan was to take the characters into the second.

I also have the Krynn DOS games which I want to try again. Played them as a kid. I reckon they'd make some more material.
