Personally I think the level should be reduced in size. Don't forget that it IS a video game! Distances just doesn't work the same way :-P
A nine quest campaign seems fitting. No need to drag it unnecessary out.

Finally got the game to work...
oh... my... god... Is it slow and boring!

I'll have a hard time getting through this!

The quest maps are quite complicated. Are you planning on putting these onto the original board, or going modular?

yeah, mazes simply won't work well on the board. And they only drag the duration of a game.

I think I would prefer to stay with the old school board, obviously with serious changes, but I am okay with that. However, since I am not the only person playing it so far, I would certainly be open for suggestions. I just prefer the old school board myself. By the way, those traps are really a game ender. My barbarian stepped on two traps and then went face to face against the golem and got creamed, after that it is little surprise that my other, weaker characters were also crushed.

By the way, Goblin King is correct, these levels take forever, and I'm not sure how to pass healing potions from one person to the next, so if the wrong player picks up the healing potions or items you might be screwed.

How does everyone feel about using the "giant" from dragon strike as a golem rather than a giant, he isn't that much taller and he only seems to take up one space. Of course, everyone who plays would have the option of choosing whatever they please to play the golem, but this was just my thought.
Sure it's pretty scary when the witch lord returns but what you should really be afraid of is "Resurrection of the Witch Lord". Resurrected baddies always come back more threatening than ever, usually kind of demonic with wings and horns and hell fire to announce their arrival. Think Gannondorf or Mother Brain from Super Metroid.

Do the map as it was in the game. Many of us have battle mats and dungeon tiles and could easily make it work.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

I painted my DS giant grey for just this purpose.

If anyone painted 4 chaos warriors to look like stone (The Stonehunter) one of those would be an obvious choice for a golem.

There's going to be a collective gasp across all members of this community, but I don't paint my minis.. There, I said it. I like the nostalgia of the original colors, haha.

On another note, I haven't played far enough to know the following information for certain, but it seems that the new monsters in this game includes but may not be limited to:
1 golem
1 vampire I'm thinking about Fenryll FM103 Vampire Master for mine
2 beholders
? dark elves(elves from the elf quest pack)
? lizards of some sort, he could be referring to fimir
? szczururoludzi/ratmen/skaven from advanced HQ
? dwarves corrupted by chaos... what is your favorite chaos warrior mini?
2 hydra

It would be nice to see what the stats of these monsters are so that we can compare them with what we will be creating. It would be helpful, just to know where to start, but I'm not sure how to see that stuff.
