He looks too regular in my opinion.
Shouldn't it be more like a greater demon or something?

I use 4 of these with shields glued on for the Doomguard Chaos Warriors.

But that might just be me. I'm not a native speaker, and live much on (objective, linguistically studied) intuition here.

I feel like "Dawn" implies that it is the beginning, and really this is the "Return of" rather than the "beginning of". "Rise" also has the same connotation, but not quite as much.

I like this guy for the Chaos God miniature. Talisman 3rd Ed. Not too hard to find.

Ah, yeah, that's quite nice. I might have to try to track one down for myself.

Here is Alexander's translation of that one card:

"Loa's Talisman/Good-Luck Charm

(Normally) you can only resurrect/revive once at a temple, but if you have this talisman, you can resurrect/revive as many times as you like.
Not only you, but all of your allies (lit. allied heroes) can use this power.
However, when you resurrect/revive, your gold is reduced to 0."

So one of the as-yet-unknown rules of the Japanese version is that each Hero gets to resurrect once per Quest? And then this thing comes along and lets them resurrect as many times as they want? So... they're invincible? But cashless?

I hope no one minds if I stick to my own interpretation (as seen on page one).

Yeah this thing is WAY OP. It's already pretty OP the way we interpreted it... A resurrection each quest for some measly gold? Come now!

I'm pretty sure the temple is a between quests thing. Each Hero/character can be revived once. If they die again a new Hero from scratch must be created. With the talisman however, they may be revived more than once, but lose their gold. Gold is needed to level up in the Japanese version. It's quite similar to how a lot of their video game RPGs handle hero deaths. HeroQuest in Japan was changed to be more like an RPG. Which is why it says RPG on the cover of their box.

Well, how about we take the stance that the Talisman grants heroes a "safe" death. Instead of dropping their gear and retreating to the nearest offal heap, it teleports them safely to wherever until the end of the quest. One use per quest. Say, however, that like a potion, a hero standing adjacent to another hero may apply its effects responsively. So if the Wizard is wearing it, and the Dwarf, who is adjacent to him, gets whacked in the pee-pee to his ruin, the Wizard may opt to intervene and teleport the dwarf and his pee-pee safely back to town.
