This is amazing! I'm so happy to finally see it! Thank you!

I'm not sure how we're feeling about AI art here, but I found the four minis used for the Watchers, and found a fifth one that I'll use for Vaedrim (and I think was the one used for Sir Vardion on the box for Barrow of the Beastmen), and I made the pictures of the minis themselves into art that can be used for Character cards if one were to try to translate this to the Classic NA style cards or the HQ21 style.

And for my Classic NA Monster/Merc style cards, I've come up with these images of them to use for the card art. I just took them and put them in front of the Black Portal with photoshop, adding some fun purple lighting. Minus Vaedrim, of course.

Thanks ! The tiles are a huge part to create, and kind of boring at the same time

, because I have to spent several hours on each. The Compendium is funnier to write, I tried to give a tone like in the old gaming books Fighting Fantasy. Glad you like it !

AI could be a good tool to go with an artist, but not to be used alone, unless you are not an artist at all. For my expansion, for example, I used AI to help me create the image for the cover box, but I had to draw a lot of modifications so everything look as I want (composition for Title and other writings, accuracy of characters outfits and design, color scheme, ambiance, etc...). I used it too for my Compendium images, trying to be as close as possible to Gary Chalk artstyle. But here too, I had to make a lot of modifications myself so the image was as close as possible to the text description.
For all the rest of the art, I did it my self.

Your images look good, but where do you want to put them ? I know the Watchers icons should be in colors, but I have to admit I didn't have the patience at the end to do this, so I let them in black & white. I wanted to give them the same feel as the men-at-arms cards, with this kind of watercolor effect. But my tests was not good enough so I gave up. Here is one of them :

Thanks for your interest ! I love those kind of projects too, as yours for the Dark Company redesign. A lot of attention to details so the project feels to be a real expansion, like in the good od times.
I have put indeed some new features in this expansion, to keep interest from the players. I am curious to have your feedbacks on this, as I have not made a lot of playtests for this, outside my own familly.

Yours is definitely the better art. I guess you're using them as a separate deck of cards without the same layout as the monsters. I think I was thinking more if the figures needed to be made more in the style and layout of the new HQ21 monster or mercenary card decks.

For me, I have no artistic skill at all, so for my own personal cards, I try to make do as best I can with some AI and some photoshop for any newer ones I come up with and any translation back and forth from the new HQ21 style to the classic style.

I'm printing it all off this morning and noticed that on page 14 of the English compendium that 'The Mists of Agony' title is still en francais.

Also, the Necroguard has 3 defence dice on its card, but only 2 in the questbook. Which is it please?

On Tavrik and Vaeltrys cards their Mind is called Spirit?
