you... polluted... the purity of HQ?
may your children's children suffer for such outrage.
we've been talking about new classes (with new models) new monsters, new items, new mechanics etc. etc. for years here! if you make some quest that say 'make use of the thing found here' I cant see any reason why not, in fact I thoroughly encourage it!

That's a great point. Not sure why I didn't see it that way first. I guess probably because I'd be using paid assets instead of some free thing I made myself. And that made it different.

just cos its paid for doesn't make it a bad thing. depends on who you're paying and how you feel about them. whether it s a new mini or a tile or furniture pieces or even a custom set of dice. the most important thing is that you share it for us all to enjoy.
oh, and that every things legal. and not stolen. also important.

Alright, that's enough. Before anyone does anything else...where is the pickle?

Just make the quest and tell people where you got the tiles so they can do so if they want. They can alter the quest if need be if they don't want to buy the tiles. You aren't forcing them to buy the tiles. Think of it as the expansions that were put out for HeroQuest - if people thought they were worth the money, they'd buy it. If they don't, they won't. I definitely wouldn't put them in the PDF for the quest though.

Every miniature gamer is near required to own a grid mat like this one:

Whoever owns such a thing can play your quest. It's like dice and pencils. You just have them.
