I bought this old GW minotaur painted on Tradera (swedish part of Ebay). I think it works rather nice and correctly sends out the message that the minotaur aint fun to face

To recap, my minotaur has:
Move 6
Body 3
Mind 1
Attack 5
Defence 4

Special Rule I use with my minotaurs:

Rage Attack: The minotaur may attack an enemy 12 squares away three times a quest.

I would up the Attack to 6 dice and Defend to 5 dice for a guy his size.

I use smaller ones (from DarkWorld: Village of Fear) with the same stats as yours.

I try to avoid unique special rules for monsters as much as possible, but if I can come up with another item/boss/spell that does something similar I would certainly consider implementing it.

6/5 vs 5/4 is quite a difference. I agree with you that it reflect his size and strength, but since the Gargoyle, the most badass monster in the base game, only has 4/4 and one life point in my version...it seams to be too much of a difference ;)

12 squares away? You mean he charges up to the opponent like in a bull fight, right??

Attack and Defence don't necessarily have to be based on a monsters size. It makes just as much sense for a small character who is a more skilled warrior to be likely to inflict significant damage and be capable of blocking/slipping attacks. Bigger characters can have more body points to reflect their toughness. Having said all that I agree that monotaur deserves quite a high attack and defence, 6 and 5 seems good, or 5 and 5.

Exactly.

Mine have 6 Body points.
As I use those rather petite ones from DarkWorld,
I gave them only 5 AD and 4 DD and the Rage Attack

oh no, Ken, I'm not knocking it at all. Beernut's creations have special attacks too. Remember the Defiler with its 4 tentacles that drag you into its 'mouth' - that then crunches you!?
I like the Minotaur charge! It puts runners (i.e. Zebs) in deep kaka! It makes the game much more exciting when you face something special, that you haven't seen before! Some creatures have supplementary flame dmg, ice dmg, poison dmg, etc.
I think most of us would want to obtain some non HQ figs for those, rather than using the Gargoyle over and over ("OK THIS guy represents the Minotaur")...

There is one on Ebay UK Item number: 280941147688. I have a couple from Warhammer Quest, I think. Will have to try one out on young Puck.
