Not a whole lot to say about the monster stats - they pretty good to me. I have my own version
of the ghost (they're posted on my monster thread - along with some other undead, I think - if not,
they will be soon). My idea is slightly different, but good work. It looks pretty balanced to me. I
agree with el flesh - the barbarian just has to suck it up if a ghost comes his way...that's just
how it is.

I would love to know where you got the pics for the last set of cards shown here (before my post here).
They are excellent illustrations.

Sorry I only checked earlier post this time - but ya, wizard should have the ability to go head to head with ghosts as easily as barb can handle physicals.

A jellyfish on land...kind of sounds like the punchline to a dirty joke...

Thats how I insta kill with polymorph spells.
A fellow DM and I were debating weather or not every spell could be ussed to kill given the right situation.
He postulated that I couldn't kill with the polymorph spell. I countered that a jelly fish on dry land dies without a saving throw. He ceeded the point and ever since the poly morph into a jelly fish has been a favored way to kill.
The other option is to turn the enemy into a salmon and after they stop flailing around...gut and gill them right before you throw their misserable butt on the fry pan!
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

How about polymorph into a slug, and then pour salt on them? That would work, too, I bet.

My mother would cut the slug in two with a pair of scissors. It's effective, but not very nice to watch :p

I used google image search and just decided I would not stop looking until I got decent pictures. I'm still not satisfied with the Goblin one (he is too muscular), but it will have to do for now. Here are links to the pictures or pictue sites, where I found them...this may not allways be the origin of the picture!

Chaos sorcerer is from the MMORPG Warhammer Online: http://mythicmktg.fileburst.com/war/us/home/images/armiesofWAR/chaos/Magus/magus-concept-04.jpg
Centaur is from some weird conspiracy/astrology website: http://www.librarising.com/mythos/centaur.html
Minotaur is from some guys D&D blog entry: http://jimstitzel.com/dnd/tag/minotaur/
Ghost is a wraith drawing from a Heroes of Newerth Forum: http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?t=386709
Goblin is done by Paul Abrams on deviant art: http://paulabrams.deviantart.com/art/Goblin-Archer-194793392
Vampire is from a Warhammer Dawn of War mod-forum: http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2010/172/1/c/Vlad_by_ANARKYMAN.jpg
Shambling Horror is actually a maountain troll from this gallery: http://www.creativeuncut.com/gallery-16/rift-mnt-troll.html

Speaking of the Shambling Horror (possibly Abomination, but that sounds too much like Warcraft 3), I am thinking this profile for it:
Attack 2
Defence 4
Mind 0
Body 3
Move 3

They are the gatekeepers of their necromantic masters, so to speak, and stands as a wall between them and their enemies...

Now...I'm not nearly enough well versed in the engish language that I'm exactly sure what "Flora" refers to (My best guess is in the context "flora and fungi" which were mentioned in BlackAdder once...)

But it reminded me of one of Andy Saltzman's, co-host of the comedy podcast The Bugle, code names for a certain not-alive-annymore, bearded, extremely angry fellow who untill recently lived in Abbottabad:
Andy Saltszman wrote:"The Tora Bora Law-ignor'ah"

That allways brings a smile to my face

(Amongst other codenames where The big Douche and The Raudi Saudi...funny stuff ;) )

Thank you. You learn something new every day. :D

When designing a new quest the other day I felt like I needed some kind of weak, swift undead monster to be a contrast to the Flora Horra (or abomination, I'm 50-50 on this now :P ), simply an undead version of a goblin.

I really want a third beastman-type monster, and at the same time I am looking for something with a strong attack but pretty bad defence.

I think this model might fit as an "insect-man":

Movement 8
Attack 4
Defence 2
Body 1
Intelligence 3
