Not sure if you saw the thread or not, so here's how I plan to handle bolts:
A replacement quiver costs 100 gold coins (the first quiver's price is part of purchasing a Crossbow). If 2 Black Shields are rolled when firing the Crossbow, then the bolts are exhausted. It should happen about every 13 or 14 shots.
[I also favor weapon damage, so I plan to reserve 3 Black Shields for that. Basically, a half-cost repair would be necessary to remove a -1 Attack Die penalty.]
Don't worry about the specific number of bolts in a quiver. If the Black Shields come up early, then consider the bolt case and remaining bolts as damaged and rendered useless (or the Crossbow can be jammed/damaged and in need of an expensive repair). If the double/triple Black Shields come up much later, assume that many bolts were recovered to be used again. The main thing is that on average bolts will need to be purchased at more-or-less regular intervals, so no tracking is necessary.
[Oops. Just read up on your Crossbow thread. I see you're not interested in random tracking. No matter. Counting used bolts on a sheet or making cards works, too. -edit]
[*lemony goodness*, we're posting at the same time. Glad you like it. Go with what works for you. -edit]
