For what it's worth, my cards where from the same company. I added an extra 1/4" bleed to the cards (2.75"x3.75" in total size) and that countered the cutting varience nicely.

As I get it, the whole point of this artifact is to give the player a hard decision to make.
If he is forced to keep the card/gem upon finding it, there is no choice, it's simply a trap.
So I assumed it was implecitely meant to be abandonable - I thought about writing a comment suggesting to include this into the card text. (something like: "You are allowed to discard this item. In this case, the card is taken out of the game").

Yeah, I think that was in the original concept. I changed that as part of an alternative to reflect the overriding draw of the gemstone on the mind of the discoverer. From square one (figuratively and literally) you gotta be lucky (some more than others) to rid yourself of the curse. The choice is only allowed after the Hero's will asserts itself. That's my take on it.

They are not all like that, i'd like to add. After revisiting all the cards, it was a bad idea to add the EU border on front and back. Some are cut a little bit off the center, so having no border would mean you wouldn't see the failure. Having the border means you can see exactly how much off the center they cut the card.

So NA Format is the way to go. It's less beautiful but fail safe. Well. One learns.

Only 2 of my first deck of 54 are off-centered.
I don't like the NA format, so I'll re-order these two in my next batch and that will be that.
I also added a bleed trim of 3 mm (the additional differently colored edge on both face and back is around 6.5 mm wide)
for a grand total of 5.05 cm X 6.96 cm including the green bleed from their instruction.
The cut format is 4.45 cm X 6.35 cm.

My next order will again only be 54 cards, but with many different card backs (the first batch all shared the same Equipment back),
so I can see if the off-centering is a batch thing or something else.
2 from 54 is not that bad, I'd say. With mine, it was also just about 1 mm off-centered.
Not a biggie, I found, but as long as I have to order more cards, I can re-order the off-centered ones just the same.

I both love these fun treasure cards and appreciate the discussion about card printing in this thread. I'm gonna send off a bunch of cards for printing sometime soon so this is very helpful.

I'm gonna add that my second order (284 cards, methinks) came with no off-centeredness whatsoever.
Just perfect.
