I've thought of another mechanic for 'sneak', the wearer of sneak shoes (Comes as standard for the Thief, Assassin classes).
The Hero still rolls 2 dice but 1 die is used to pass a mind test, if declaring 'sneak', the other is for movement. This references the slow movement of the character needed to sneak. If the 'test of mind' is passed, any monster wishing to attack the Hero during the EWP turn must pass it's own test of mind. if failed, the monster hasn't noticed the Hero and cannot attack. Any combat initiated would break sneak. EWP should move it's highest 'Mind' character first to best outperform this skill.
Which brings me to a unique weapon. Dagger of Back Stab or Assassin Blade... Combat can be initiated by the Hero with out braking sneak.
With the new emended version, the Hero would only roll once for sneak instead of for each potential attack and we get a negative aspect added to it, which isn't too bad as you pick the lowest dice rolled.
This also brought me to realise... Using the other dice to activate a skill, weapon bonus etc can be a good mechanic for unique action. For instance, Peep, look through key hole, or Listen... Pass a test of mind and reveal the contents of the room, whilst stood at any unopened door.
