I like this card, it has use for sure.
What of high powered relics and artifacts?
Say I am so desperate for a heal that I put the dust on my copy of Borins armor...4 point heal but that armor is mythic stuff that doesn't rust and fits anyone. Those are two powerful enchantments right there that should translate into more healing points I would say as the EWP. Say a 6 point heal for this item.
Then we have items like Amulet of the North...would this only heal 3 points as the buff from the item is a total of +3 points? But this item turns the Barbarian into a nigh unstoppable beast when he is armed with a battle axe and some armor. Certainly it is worth more than a 3 point heal? A simple bastard sword is worth that much.
Perhaps artifacts converted with this item should create a salve that heals all body points of the person using the salve?

For the sake of simplicity, (vis-a-vis how much text can fit on a card

) and to emphasize its emergency-use function, it would only work on weapons and armor, regardless of whether or not it was an artifact weapon or armor, and wouldn't have any special benefits for using it on an artifact weapon or armor, following the precedent of the potion of alchemy: any weapon or armor + potion of alchemy = 100 gold coins.

_{(Borin's Armor is the same defense as Plate Mail: 2 defend dice = 2 Body Points, the total of 4 mentioned on the card includes a Hero's base of 2 defense)}

If a hero wanted to use the powder of sympathy on their Spirit Blade, we'll say it turns into a 3 Body Point healing salve, but would heal 4 Body Points of damage if used on the undead :lol:

Similar mechanic if used on Orc's Bane and you needed to heal two Orcs!

As I am always eager to divest the heroes of their treasures and gear I would rather opt for artifacts create a super awesome salve. Serves two purposes for me:
1. Heals them up and gets them deeper into the dungeon.
2. They now are in the dungeon with less power than they started with when they entered. This always puts the players on edge when they lose good gear, and if they win, they really celebrate.

You could also. double the dice for an artifact. A Magical Throwing dagger gives a Hero 2 BP, Borin's Armor gives 4 BP, while the Armband of the North affords 6 using your conversion of stats. Sure, the armband isn't quite as even a trade, but it beats death and a Barbarian will almost always have a less valuable item or artifact to convert.
