zenith - and those who contributed - all great ideas. I especially like the dead body #1 - allows you to
attack a wandering monster next time. I'll put some thinking into this, as well, see if I can help add to it.

I had a new potion idea, this thread looks most appropriate.

Not sure about the wording to make the effect clear. This potion could possibly be awarded as a quest treasure.

Potion of Vitality
This potion will restore all of your lost body points and increase your body points by 4 above your starting value. These additional body points cannot be restored once lost.

So, not sure if the note on the mould was there in this thread, or just on the "blog".
BUT - the note mentions something about the characters perhaps wanting to leave
their gold at home.
This would require a bank/banker/vault/etc. Could provide another way to drain
the characters' gold a bit, charge for the holding of items...and could provide some
inspiration for new quests. Perhaps someone breaks in and steals something
valuable, and there was a witness.

Maybe 2 cards with half of a medallion each on them, like in Dungeonquest. The effect of the medallion is not known untill the two halves has been joined and it affects the player who joined the halves together. This could be insantly, or for the rest of the game, or when certain conditions are met.

It could even be a random effect determined by a D6....something like
1: The next combat attack agains the player is ignored. (Medallion of protection)
2: The player is immideately moved to a free square on the board within 10 squares, decided by the evil wizard. (Medallion of teleportaion)
3: The player looses 1 mind point. (Cursed Medallion)
4: The player rolls one less combat die in attack and defence against monsters with 0 mind points. (Medallion of terror)
5: The player regains up to 5 lost body points. (Healing Medallion)
6: The player counts white shields as hits when attacking in combat, until and including the first time only white shields are rolled. (Guiding Medallion)

The trick is to make it worth the risk...maybe I failed here above, but who cares 8-)

Edit: Sorry, this might not be in dungeonquest at all. I thought it was just an english version of the swedish game "Drakborgen". I know it is in there! :P

The Swedish Drakborgen was published in English language as Dungeonquest in 1987, wikipedia says.
So you're right, Templar.
Fantasy Flight Games owns the right to publish the name and made their own Terrinoth the setting for the new Dungeonquest.

That's a lot of info to fit on a card. Maybe have half positive effects on one card (roll 1,3,5) :) , and half negative effects on the other (roll 2,4,6) :( . It's a Medallion of Mental Attitude.

Ouch. That seems to counter Treasure Horde well, but I'd go with just double monsters.

It's a lot, but not impossible I think  . But you are right, something more neat would be appropriate.

Maybe you could have specific left hand/right hand parts of the medallions, where a part noted with an effect only can be joined with an oppisite, non-effect part. Then you could have several medallion effects in the deck.

You could have the completed medalions each have their own artifact cards, so when the heroes got one put together they could draw a random medalion from the medalion deck. (Much like drawing a random spell scorll.)

Re: Brainstorming - new EU Treasure card ideas

Regarding medallions in separate pieces: In one of my really old maps (drawn when I was about eleven), I included a Talisman of Might or something similar that increased the wearer's Body points maximum.

The catch was that it was broken into three pieces, each in a different treasure chest. If you only had one piece, you got a 1BP bonus. If you had two pieces, you got a 2BP bonus, and so on.

The idea was to give the players another competitive/cooperative dilemma. Three pieces, but four characters. Should they share out the pieces fairly? Or give them all to the Wizard? Or beg/barter/kill each other for all three pieces to super-boost one character's BP?

It was a new Quest treasure / Artifact, not a Treasure card, but feel free to steal the idea if it inspires anybody...
