Based on https://www.jampaper.com/paper-weight-chart.asp and the BEST I could do with my cheap Chinese caliper (which gets off by as much as 0.02mm if you slide it out and back in just once) it's right about 66# bond which ought to be 247gsm or thereabouts. But I really don't trust that figure.

What is the font used for the US version of the cards? I noticed the title font should be an italic version of CAXTON but there are so many versions and I can't find a good one matching. You can recognize it is the wrong one by looking at the letter E.
Even the font pack downloadable from the Inn do not have a proper one and cards are never mentioned on the list.
Also noticed Romic fits good but still not matching 100%.
They also changed font from the Game-System (Letraset Romic Italic) to the Barabrain and Elf Quest Pack.
Still searching...

I use MS-Word software to make US-looking cards and these are the parameters I use:

Regular cards (Spells, Artifacts, Treasure, etc.):

- Card Title: Romic-MediumItalic, size 12 pt. Font space between characters Expanded, 0.6 pt.

- Card normal text: Aldine721 BT, size 8.5 pt. Font space between characters Compressed, 0.3 pt. Paragraph interows Exact 10 pt.

- Card text's words in italics: Plantin-Light, size 8.5 pt, Bold, Italics. Font space between characters Compressed, 0.5 pt. Paragraph interows Exact 10 pt.

- Card bottom text copyright line/s: Swis721 BT, size 5.5 pt. Font space between characters Compressed, 0.3 pt. Paragraph interows Simple.

Monster cards:

- Card Title: Same as regular cards.

- Stats table headings: Aldine721 BT, size 5.5 pt. Font space between characters Compressed, 0.8 pt. Paragraph interows Exact 5 pt.

- Stats table numbers: Aldine721 BT, size 12 pt, Bold.

- Card bottom text copyright line/s: Same as regular cards.

Could exist some imprecissions, but I derived all those mentioned parameters from original scans of the cards and tried to find the better fit. I hope these parameters could be useful for your designs.

These are all well and good but also I would note that the EQP/BQP seem to use different font conventions from the other NA content (and we acknowledge the EU edition uses different font conventions too). Each quest pack seems to have its own eccentricities.

You have a sharp eye for those kinds of things HZ, so I figure you would agree! Many wish to make their custom cards look at least like they "fit" with the rest of the classic material, even if there isn't a perfect 100% standard for those.

Yeah, the parameters I listed before were derived from the basic Game System cards.

I found the BQP and EQP are using CAXTON BT for the card titles but it is not italic, it is skewed -15 degrees.
here is an example, black one is my text matching the original one (brown). ;)

Good find! Somebody want to whip up a graphic table showing the different fonts all on one page with labels?
