I used to be quite the gamer in my day. I still own a pretty good number of games, but I favour the types I grew up with like Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Final Fantasy, Classic RPGs and fun multiplayer games like Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Phantasy Star Online...

I never got into the First-Person Shooters. The closest I could get was the Metroid Prime Series which I really enjoy, but revolved more around exploration. I owned Halo and an Xbox for a short while when they came out, but just didn't turn out to satisfy my particular taste buds. All the power to those who enjoy those games though. Just don't bring'em to my place.
I've been into games since the early eighties when my Papa got us a Coleco Vision for Christmas in '82. Never had an NES, but when I was 14 and had my first job, I saved up for an SNES and have been gaming heavily since until about two years ago. Since then it's been more casual. Not just in the types of games, but in the time spent playing them. Maybe delving even deeper into the online HeroQuest community had something to do with it...
I still have a lot of games and all my systems are still connected to my media television.
