Now does he have bone nipples or is he alive enough to have Tott's nipples?

Anderas wrote:I never understood why they replace not the language but the meaning during "translation". Why do they do that? Translating, for the German market, from English to English, but replacing the meaning and content with different meaning and content? And, in the go, killing any double meaning or subtlety that may have been in the original. Like the zootopia example that just didn't need any reworking because it perfectly works in German: they made something that doesn't work in German, only in English, and they reverted the meaning. And they do that all the time. Knightkrawler, as linguist, can you in any way explain that?

No. I simply can't. The Zoomania example to me is the perfect example of the industry being condescending and being a toto-pro-pars *Play-Doh factory*.
"You don't see the congeniality of the pun "Zootopia", anyways, so we'll germansplain something else to you you might understand. We'll probably sell some more tickets, too, that way, and the film producers will then thank us very dear and come back to us with more commission work based on numbers noone can ever prove..."
Again, "utopia" is "Utopie" (pronounced "ootopee" if spelled by an English native speaker) in German, so we would have seen all levels of meaning in the untranslated word "Zootopia". We all know that loanwords from Greek that end in "-topie" in German end in "-topia" in English and other languages). "Zootopie" would only have worked when pronounced English in the first syllable, and then German. But that's not a reason you (as an industry) can give when you translate so many English titles INTO OTHER ENGLISH TITLES like the Captain America example or just don't bother translating like in "The Dark Knight" for some reason, even though "Der Dunkle Ritter" sounds just as cool and awesome and sinister all at the same time.

I think the translating and dubbing industry is incredibly full of *lemony goodness* and very into itself. Like one big freakin' marketing agency with a monopoly and a connection to Colombian coke of its very own.
There is no other explanation.
They have no Daseinsberechtigung and they kill parts of culture. There is also a striking lack of options to watch films in their original language at the movies.
It MUST be a conspiracy to keep the horizon of our thinking in check. There's been many more hints and evidence in other media and consumerism sectors, but that's a rabbit hole I won't slide down into at this time.

Nipple high. Because we're heads down in the piss.

That is one way of derailing the derailed topic back on the rail. 8-)

Check the miniature... he doesn't have (and doesn't need) nipples.
As for the mask, it can be.. but if you look at the original paint by Les Edwards, he is a skinny guy with a skull face. there are no visible bones on his body except the skull.
But remember he is something of unnatural creature, powered by Chaos Magic, and many humans can't understand or imagine it.
So for me the Witch Lord is a skeleton with some flesh remained. Maybe the more he is recovereing his strenghs, the more his body will return to human form.
Oh.. and skeletor from MOTU has a muscular body like the chaos sorcerer but he has no nipples at all.
So, paint him as you wish, but if you make nipples, consider to add a nipple ring too

This Skeletor toy here clearly shows Ol' Bonehead got a nipple-job after the 80's. However, this vintage Skeletor is nippin' a bit as well.

Stop posting pictures and links of that sexy hunk of a man. Or clarify it's Not Safe For Work.
Everyone is standing behind me staring at the screen and weirdly touching themselves in funny places.

Now we are asking the important questions here ;)
If the conclusion is 'yes he has nipples' - how well can you paint them on the model? We need photos :P

Great! Now I need to launch Blender, load HeroQuest_-_Chaos_Mage.stl and Cyberpunk_-_Female_Android_Swordsman.stl, do a little editing magic, slice, print, paint and play. :geek:

Now... What cup-size would look right in Heroic Scale? ;)
