Lemmeron - You own funnel web spiders? What has to snap in one's head to want to own those?
(of course, that would pertain to any spider in my opinion - but those are really creepy)

As I live on the other side of the Pacific, I probably wouldn't be available for a US meet up. :( However, I think Silvermanewolf's idea of basing off of gaming conventions is a pretty good idea. Being an ex-Chicagoan, I'd say Gen Con in Indianapolis is worth a visit for any NA gamer, and there are hotels available for that purpose that can be found in Gen Con's promotion information. Being in the middle of the country and run in the summer, it offers the best viable choice if there is only one US meet up, in my opinion.

Another US location that comes to mind is anywhere near Rhode Island, where Hasbro is located. I recall that a few years back some of the research and design leaders (former Heroscapers) had professed sympathy towards Hero Quest's limbo state. A tour could be fun, and support might even be relayed. The bring-25th-anniversary-heroquest-edition-to-market petition may yet reach its 2,500 signatures before a meet up (it is currently at 2,087 signatures.) It might catch the Hasbro suits' attention if a group of fans interested in a Hasbro release/license could pass on the completed petition (with the originator's consent) as a definite communication. Most every one of us would prefer an official release to the sort-of-but-not-really Spanish HQ game, and Hasbro should know of it from those who have owned their product. Squeaky wheel gets the game.

2,500 seems a bit of an odd number. I have signed it, fingers crossed.

Well, obviousely it is summer of 2016 AD now, and we didn't manage to pull it off.
I take full responsibility, as I was the one who started this project as well as kept it alive for some time.

As often, this thing called "live" got in my way. I got a new project at work, the new house prooved much more work than expecetd and most of all, my new child was born in March.

But I still beliefe we can do it.
How 'bout summer '17?

I would invite you to my place, so the location issue would be solved - of course, unless someone has a better idea.
I life in southern Germany, which is pretty much central in Europe, and the county has much of "Heroquestian" places (Castles, medieval villages, pictural forests).

What do you say?
Have a look ;)

First - congratulations on the new child. That's great. And...good luck ;) That's coming from a third-time dad.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------>^ ^Sometimes, that's all you can do.

Second - I'd love to come to Southern Germany to say hi. If I ever make it there, though...I will expect LIVE ACTION
heroquesting, and at least two or three real German beers and sausages. I'll give you plenty of notice to get it all ready.

Do we have anyone living in northern Germany???
Seriously though...
I'll probably be driving. If this becomes a thing my vacation summer 2017 could well enough be a drive south.
Gotta snatch some of that cheap cheap German candy and beer!

So yeah... planning a year ahead is probably the way to go :)
Who is still game?

Congrats on becoming a new Dad, that's awesome!

As to the Meet-up, it's (still) a great idea and I hope you folks can get together. Unfortunately, I do not see myself making it to Germany next year, so there's that.

Document the piss out of this please!

I am in. My little one is not-so-little anymore and i could come. I come from northern germany, which is the better culture, but i live in france, so this is equalized. :) :D

In fact i was born in "Schleswig" which is as close to the danish border you can get if you don't want to live in Flensburg or a supersmall village.
Talking about supersmall villages, I actually lived in "Grundhof" which is not known at all, and my parents used to make holidays in "Langballig" (10 km away) which sounds like "boring" in german. :)
Also one of my used-to-be best friends lived in groß-Quern which just means "big crossway", but it is not at all big and it has three houses only.

Yes northern germany. The area where really no-one lives and you see your visitors 3 hours before they arrive. :D

That was a brilliant 1111th post I daresay.
Southern Germany... hm. 3 hour drive, at the most. Thinking, pondering, and then thinking about some more pondering.
