Sure, I'll take a recommendation. Though my parents are pretty experienced in camping in Germany. Do it twice a year.
But I'll let you know the exact plan later. My dad is coming home tomorrow and then we'll plan out the details.

Internet was out of function for a few days, plus the whole family except for my wife was ill...
Did you and your dad plan the details?
Are you still interested in a recommendation, or has your dad already arranged for a place (given the short time left, he probably has). However, there's a winery in our village with its own camping ground.
I would still ask you for the stats of the hero you want to play.
Plus, I know you have a great collection of painted minis. Please, if you are comfortable with taking them abroad, bring them, so we can have the best gaming experiece possible.

* I'll be arriving at your place around Friday early noon and spend the rest of the day and evening there. After last game I'll drive back to the camping ground.

* I'll stay the entire Saturday. You have some sightseeing prepared? My dad would very much like to join in on that if that's okay - He'll go back when it's time to play HQ.

* We'll be moving on early Sunday. So I guess we say our goodbyes Saturday? That gives us two nights of 4-5 games. Should be enough for a good campaign.

It's a pity, but I wasn't aware that the organisation of the HQ gathering got more substantial and a date was actually found/confirmed. I haven't spent many time in the HQ forums for the last weeks, as work and family made me very busy. I saw just today, that this weekend will be the HQ meeting. Now the weekend is already closed with friends & family activities.

Ok, so I actually dug out the character sheet...

His name is Flinty. His crest is three hearts, a mug of beer, a pair of boobs and an ace of spades.
The motto is: Beer, fight, beer & war

I was wrong about the equipment though: Borin's Armor, Talisman of Lore, Spirit Blade, Orc's Bane, Helmet, Shield, Spear - But no Battle Axe
Seems like he was pretty greedy with the Quest Treasure

No backstory other than what's implied in the above

First day and first quest are over, the guests just left for the night.
Almost everything that could go wrong, went wrong, from an organisatorial point of view, but still we had great fun eating, chatting and playing Heroquest.
Would do it again every time.
To be contiued tomorrow - will meet at 10 AM for breakfast.
