I know what you mean . . . I didn't rediscover it deliberately after a long while myself. Then, a random lead gave me a break.

I still don’t understand how these rewards work. I don’t even know how I got the Chaos Warlock reward I have. Posts from years ago say stuff like “You will know it when you see it”, which is apparently not the case from my limited experience.

Are these things randomly inserted in old threads or something? Are there obvious things you click on that says “You found the Zombie!”? Not that it really matters, I don’t have time to read thousands of old posts.

Ok, so there are still achievements to find? Thats all I need too know (otherwise I'd be searching in vain)

Look at what we know. First, thequester encountered and killed the Fimir, so that's the first reward. Sjeng catches on and manages to encounter and kill a Goblin and find two pieces of Grin's stone map. That probably leaves two pieces of the stone map to discover and maybe six more monsters to encounter and kill. (No other members have these special rewards--I checked.) Of course, other rewards may also be hidden in the forum, waiting to be found. So you gotta figure out what is meant by while browsing the foul depths of forum, as Sjeng indicated, then do it. One thing I've discovered, these rewards are unique.

You gave them all away! Hmm, the scaling is off on some of those. I'll have to fix them next week. None of the blue, red or black icons are available at this time. One reason I can't give anything away is because I set the eight GS monster rewards and four stone map pieces up over a year ago and I don't remember where most of them are now. But a good threadomancer may be able to dig them up.

Just went through to find all the original 12 just to ensure they are all still there. Turns out, the Zombie is missing. I don't know if I goofed when adding it, or if it was lost somehow. I've added it again and now everyone has a chance to find it. Unless of course, you have no idea how to find Zombies.
