Deep Black with dark green glowing effects along the middle of each horn.
Green will make the red pop even more.

Thanks for the responses!
I'd rule out orange (sorry guys), as I expected something more detailed rather than a single colour choice.
Ragner's thing is always available but knightkrawler's idea got my attention at the moment.
I'm not sure I understand it completely, do you mean something like this?

@Ivenbach: I can't really say how long they took cause I had giant breaks between them.
I can only say that the shaman took no more than 3, hour-long sessions, when I was also working on the other guys. I had to ready him to lead my beastmen army soon and got prioritised.
If I worked straight on, say the gargoyle and the sorcerer, it would take at least 4-5 sessions, of 1-2 hours each, switching between the figures and waiting for washes to dry.

That's exactly it. I don't even know how I got the idea, but it
1) gives you the complementary color to the dark red you've used.
2) gives the Gargoyle a golem feel. He basically is a golem in purpose, after all.

You can certyinly try and if you don't like it, it's easily fixed.

:D Green and Red, man. It's THE complementary combo for mini painters.
And it's not my fault you believe in Santa and his pansies. |_P

to be honest, I never bought into that complimentary colour *lemony goodness*. I've tried them a couple of times and they sucked. blue and orange? that's ugly as f..k.
But, I'll give it a go for sure, I'll keep the green super dark though.

Blue and orange in fantasy miniature terms is indeed *lemony goodness*.
But what about dark blue skin in combination with really rusty armor? It's a similar color combo, but well done it can look good.
Red/green is quickly implemented in fantasy.

If you go for green horns you NEED to make green a part of his overall theme. It will look weird as funk if he just has green horns and nothing else.
Add the green to the sword and kneecaps and gems.

You could also paint it to look like marble

Now you MUST! Accept the challenge! Push your limits! YOU CAN DO IT!

It's actually simple enough. Base coat of dark green (almost black).
Blend some patches into a slightly lighter green.
Paint jagged stripes with a lighter green and a fine detail brush.
Finish with a glossy varnish.

It's marble, so it's supposed to be a little random and uneven.
