I've been painting these FOREVER, on a black undercoat - still have one to finish and not sure if I can get there...

I'm pretty sure the same thing goes for grey. The first yellow I did took 4 coats. I learned my lesson to stay away from yellow for a while. After seeing some videos of yellow over black versus yellow over white I agree with the king on this one completely. All hail the king and his suggestions mandates.

In the miniatures department:

Finally got my Trygon put together
Image

And finally got this genestealer patriarch and his familiar put on bases.
The big guy is so heavy so I didn't dare just gluing him on the base with just one foot. I had to drill a hole to slip his uhmm... hole peg? into.
Like vice the small ones were so flimsy so I cut their slotta-thingy off except right under their feet. Then I tweezered them into round pegs to slip into tiny holes I drilled.
They wont break off even if they get run over by a car!

In the painting department:
A while back I showed you a WIP of this painting. It is now done and shipped. yay!
Image

And a new WIP. It's Bomb Jill! A Rule 63 of Bomb Jack from the arcade game by he same name.
These are the very first crude couple of layers :p
Of course the bomb is gonna be lit, but that comes at a later stage.

And finally a couple of sketches. These are the first two of a sci-fi/fantasy trilogy. I'm really getting into it now as I have a couple semi-big exhibitions to attend.
Knowing I get to show my paintings to an audience really sparks my motivation. And I don't really like bringing old stuff to these things...
First up is a final version sketch:

And a crude first draft one:

Awesome minis and paintings man!
Didnt I already see a version of that scifi amazon girl earlier?
And I dont remember Bomb jack wearing a horned helmet... cool painting nonetheless.

I finished my Sir Ragnar mini, a d&d Regdar mini from the boardgame on a HQ base. Will post pics soon.
