That is simply not true. When played right, HQ is an intellectual mindfuck for all players involved. Strategy. Using strict rule corsets to your own advantage.

Unlike chess, HQ is partially a game of chance (the dice).....case closed.

Case re-opened: because of chance it's even more difficult to play it coherently clever, thus making it more intellectual than chess. Case closed. |_P
Seriously, I get what you mean, but HQ is untouchable, and no HQ player is part of any problem. Well, not because they play HQ.

I kinda agree with CP. Michael Bay is one of the most successful directors of all time because people throw their money at him! Are his movies GOOD? I don't think so.
People rushing in to see "bad" movies is a signal to Hollywood that they are doing a fine job.

They are NOT here to make intellectual movies!
They are NOT here to entertain!
They are NOT here to be innovative or make art!

They are here TO MAKE MONEY.

If a movie looks like carp, poops all over a known franchise, deliberately trying to screw the viewers (like the Hobbit part 1,2,3) or is made by a known bad director, DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!
If the audience is indifferent regarding what is shown before them on the big screen, why should the movie makers care?
It's just a movie. It's just supposed to keep me awake for a couple of hours
Jeeze, are you so poor you can't go see all movies? Get a Job.
I'm glad I get to pay to see the Hobbit three times. I :redheart: Tolkien! BFF

Hollywood is a business. They just look at the bottom line. Profit = Do it again. No profit = Do something else. Simple as that.

This is supernaturally ignorant. You can't be this stupid. It must be witchcraft. Subsequently, I am a murderous monster at chess.

What argument? Sometimes ad hominem is the argument. Would you argue with a five-year old?

chaotic did you watch this movie as a child and if so did you like it then? I watched it when I was about 7 or 8 and loved it I'm sure it wouldn't be as good if I watched it today but I still remember it fondly and if you don't mind could you tell us what fantasy movies you do like I'd be interested to know

Damn you! YES I liked it a lot when I was like, eight. However, this is not about the movie, its about the book.

Fantasy movies, eh? Thor, Excalibur, Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Hearts & Armour, Beetlejuice, The Last Starfighter, TRON, to a lesser extent TRON: Legacy, Dragonslayer, Highlander, The Four, The Goonies, Razorback, Hawk the Slayer, Willow and many more.
