That sounds like "Champions of the Empire" by ghan. That being said, it has been done, but not quite so much in detail like GoT. There are two parties in CotE, Trell and Galinicus, and exactly as you're suggesting, the heroes may choose whom to support, the choices then determining the quests to come and the career paths of the heroes:

I does sound a lot like Champions of the Empire. I haven't watched it yet, so no more spoilers. I wonder if ghan got any inspiration from Game of Thrones--which came first?

knightkrawler, have you started on Champions yet? Some of the pages may need shortening--let me know if there are any problems.

I haven't. And won't for a time, too. I've started working on my own ruleset and am on a run.
I'll offer this: Anyone willing to do an American format quest book with Champion of the Empire, will receive my translations, and can do the pdf with rules and quests.
I've got ghan's permission to do this, and I heavily doubt he'd withdraw it knowing someone else is doing it if the result is great.
Here and there, we'd have to accomodate some rules for the North American rule system, bolster up some monster body points, stuff like that.
No major changes, though, in respect to the creator, and the credits have to be right, that's all.
I'll edit then and I'll wager Daedalus will also help.

Yes, texts all translated in the British style rule and quest book. I almost forgot that ghan already did that.
No maps as jpgs, though.
These have to be redone with HeroScribe I guess. Derfel already made the icons. They're in the All-in-one-pack.

I'll send you the British quest book, which also has to be edited by someone who has time and knows his pdf 101 (I don't, I can only work with word and writer).
Maybe you can do this in one fell swoop, Sjeng. Daedalus knows the stuff already so I want to send the pdf and my original word documents to him as well.

At the back, there's a quest out of order, "Screams in the Night", followed by its quest map. This should go between "The Purge of a Marauder" and " The Tomb of the Rooster King".
