Working on Space Crusade customs (de-magicified eldar cards, psyker cards & ork cards inspired from white dwarf supplements). Cleaning up some Warhammer Fantasy minis for use as reinforcement units for Battlemasters.

Reworking Wizards of Morcar questpack. Italian translation of the cards really sucks. So I will create my own version.
Starting with a recolor of Zanrath's card back in his original color scheme from the box art.

Very good idea! I don't know how much work could get you, but if it is not too much, I also invite you making the same colour changes to my US card backs WoM adaptation. Is it possible?

It's possible that I do have a higher quality version kicking around, but if I do I couldn't tell you where. I'll save a link to this thread and if I stumble across it I'll let you know.

Did Space Crusade have rules for playing solo? I never got round round to playing that game but always wished I had.

It (Space Crusade) didn't, but the way it handled monster placement was interesting. I saw "Always Board Never Boring" playing against himself on Youtube and thought I'd give it a closer look.

It IS possible for a single player to control the heroes in HQ, do their turns and then do Zargon's turn, but the problem is that you can SEE the quest map and so you would have to "play dumb" somehow for the heroes or they know what's coming. In Space Crusade if you shuffle the "blip token" tiles and just draw random (or split it into equal amounts) for each board quadrant, neither the "Chaos/Alien Player" you're controlling, nor the Space Marine/Eldar/Ork faction you're controlling knows precisely what enemies are coming up until they reach LOS. The board layout in Space Crusade is no secret, it's all there in advance for all to see.

So I tried to take that concept and apply it to HeroQuest. It's not a 100% 1:1 conversion, but pretty close. The treasure searching mechanic wasn't originally part of Space Crusade, so I tried to merge that in there with random tiles granting said. The furniture mechanic is the one that needs work, but basically rolling to see if a blip (shadow) 'stays put' or 'moves towards the good guys' should help to ensure at least some furniture will appear instead of instantly dissolving because it is revealed inside a corridor.

Thanks! After rescuing my usb drive from the washing machine (oops), I'm planning to whip up some custom cards for a friend who recently got the remake, so doing that soon. The SC project was put temporarily on hold but I will be finishing that up shortly too hopefully.
