Bene, I am interested too. It’s a good opportunity to visit Germany but I have to take with me my wife and my two boys (5 and 6 years old). If we talk for a gaming night it’s very hard to keep the kids busy inside the house. If there is a kids park near your area, it’s the best solution. A long quest needs 2 hours, so 6 hours are a lot of time for two quests(4:00pm to 10:00pm), and after that we could go for a drink maybe. Do you have space for two tables (10 people)? How many people have say yes until know? If we have two tables my idea is that we need different quests for each table, 2 GMs (I could be one) and 2 quests each. But we have to make something special. For example, two different final missions, where the one team will try to get a magic item to kill the final boss (for example a war horn that gives +1 damage to every successful attack), and the other team to try to stop the final boss from destroying the town(for example a fear spell to a random hero each round if they lose the mission). So, the final battle will have both teams vs the final boss, and if they have completed successfully the final missions then they will have an advantage. And I am thinking a boss with 100 Body vs 8 players (I guess they will deal 10 damage per round max, so, it’s a 10 round combat).

We also need two good video cameras (one for each table) to record everything and post it on youtube, for the people who can’t come. I have a dslr with a tripod (nothing special but ok for youtube), and we could set it to cover a direction and put some scenes on the final video.

About me, I don’t know if I can stay for more days. I will buy an interrail ticket for a week and I am sure my wife will want to use it and visit many places in Germany, but I won’t be surprised if she wants to go to France too… So for me, it’s a one night gaming. If you play more, I will come only for the final day. But I don’t have problem about the date. You can choose any date you like.

Graet! I'd love to have you here!
Patroclus wrote:...but I have to take with me my wife and my two boys (5 and 6 years old).

As I told before, I plan to organize some kind of caring for the children over the game-time. As I have two sons of my own (1 and 3), I have to do this anyway, so others can benefit from this, too.

There is the Holiday Park about 20 min away by car. Under its new owners it has become very children orientated (personally I miss the old version), but being a full fetched theme park, it's rather expensive.
Or do you mean something like an indoor playground? There is this one relatively near.
I would rather vote for visiting places like this as families, and do the gaming in the evening.
See here.

I have space enough, and thought along the same lines. Was definitely planning to have two DM's, but havn'T asked anyone to be the second one yet.

Well if you want to be the one to take the job, we should discuss these things privately.
I will PN you and the other possible participants soon, it's just much to sort out.

I don't have one, but already planned to borrow one. Not only for the gaming.

This probably rules you out as GM. Why don't you just stay here - it's a great site for exploring Germany a bit. Heidelberg is about a hour away, the French border about 20 min, and the place itself is full of beautifl landscape and very watchable medieval castles, etc.
Have a look ;)

I've seen some pics from google, it is awesome, if it was just me, I could stay many days for sure. But let’s be honest. We are talking for women. Don’t try to find logical answers. She speaks a little German, you could try and if you find why, let me know, lol. The truth is that we don’t travel a lot, and I can understand why she wants to see more places. But one week is not enough to travel all Europe… I will try to minimize the locations, though I am not very optimistic.

My house is currently eating most of my time and money. In a few years, life will doubtless be more leasurely, but for now I'll pass.

If anyone fancies attendng the twice-annual StabCon convention in Stockport (just south of Manchester), I'll usually be found there, and these days, I'll have my giant HQ(R) set, running a few games with my advanced rules option through the weekend!

How many members have agreed to participate in the gathering, yet?

I'm looking forward for the opportunity to meet members of the Ye Old Inn community in the RL.

I'll most probably be driving which is basically a straight line from North of Denmark to Siebeldingen.
I'm definitely up for some car pooling if any of the attending Germans want a lift - perhaps in exchange for a place to sleep on what would be my halfway mark ;)

Anything we need to bring? Gaming related or other?

The obvious - clothes, toothbrush etc.
There's a frood who really knows where his towel is.

Towels may become short, so better bring your own. Bed linen we have enough, if you get a place in the guest room, but if you "camp" in the barn, you sould bring your own bedroll / sleeping bag, and, if possible, perhaps an inflatable matrass.

As for gaming gear:
I only own one copy of the base game, one Wizards of Morcar extension plus some extra figures from ebay. None of the figures are painted (well, some of the used ones I bought actually are "painted", but would better have been left unpainted).
I thought for our gaming sessions, we would have two groups with two game masters, whose stories are connected and finish in a great "solution" quest with all heroes together. I have, however, not yet found the second EWP. Perhaps Patroclus will do, as most of you seem to come for the weekend only.
I would also like to have one or both boards 3D or otherwise custom-made.

So if anyone have a 3D board and is willing to do the transport, it would be very appreciated.

Also, as many painted figures and dice as possible. Yes please.
Have a look ;)
