Did Anyone Watch Knightmare??

Knightmare was my favourite show as a kid. I'm sure it was on ITV in the UK but I don't know it was shown anywhere else.

For you lot who don't remember, 4 kids work together to get a treasure of some varying type.
One kid has a large helmet put on his head and can only see his feet.
The other three kids instruction the now 'blind kid' in what one believes was a empty gym room, through a tele screen. (aid of blue screen camera work results in a HQ feel, which is completely lost on the kid with the helmet).
Actors are real and provide a half decent improvised dialog.

Ive not watched that you tube clip. I remember it was really difficult, I only ever saw 1 team complete it and they are featured on a you tube video (perhaps this one) they were quite smart kids.

god i remember that show it was brilliant! no-one ever won. i used to watch it all the time and they never did - the dungeons went on forever and ever too.
as well as the helmet (which was basically just a big elaborate blindfold) they also gave them a bag and a shield. for no apparent reason.

The shield had an eye, which sometimes was looked through revealing the correct path. The bag was a sort of inventory, the kids came across a table normally with a number of items on it, i think which items you toke resulted in how the story panned out as you always found a use for them, normally in the next room. The gold bars and the bread rolls were always snapped up.

Yeah I think only one team completed it, ever! (a quick lookie on the net: 8 teams actually won over the 8 years the series ran!)

There was a wizard which very closely resembled Morcar. Perhaps the first HQ rip off?

I loved this as a kid. I've started rewatching them in youtube.

I met Hugo Myatt at a comic convention in Teesside a couple of years ago. Lovely man. It was great seeing someone who was on a show I idolised as a kid.
