Did the Dread move before firing or did it fire without moving? Was there another dread on the board who hadn't had it's turn yet? What alien event had occurred for that turn, perhaps alien elite?

Report in for the attacked ultramarine captain.
The dreadnought fired all that he has, then he tried to move to the Ultramarine.

Is it maybe a problem that the dreadnought occupies four fields?

Due to the Dread occupying 4 squares, it's movement is more complex. However, the dread is not programmed to move after firing which is why I asked if another dread was on the board.

No. One single dread, except maybe in the blips.

Finally, Mission Dreadnaught is complete. The Tarantula can now be selected as one of your squad's weapons. Enjoy!

I just got totally wiped! :)

The bolter selection rules are a bit different in the standard version. You can have up to five bolters, my blood angels always have four in MD. I think there should at least be one more, nobody's going to want five with the taranchula option. Also you have to have at least one bolter in the original rules.

One of my blood angels was killed by a dreadnought when a score of two was showing on the dice. This was during a mech assault though so many it shot twice and the second dice roll didn't show?

Are you planning on making Eldar Attack? The full eldar squad should be about the same strength as a MD squad so there could be four teams. The chaos marines could have extra heavy weapons to compensate.

Don't forget about my dark angels if you want to add something new. :D

A few more little things.

The tarantula can't face a door if it's right next to it, it has to be sideways if it's next to it and you can't then open the door and fire it on the next turn.

The conversion beamer should be able to target any square of wall, the way it is now you have to fire it in one of eight directions.

The aliens tend to attack in hand to hand whenever they find themselves next to a marine when sometimes they'd be much better off shooting them.

The chaos marine with the missile launcher has no sense of self preservation and doesn't mind blowing himself up.

Great work by the way. |_P

New update is out. Fixes the following bugs:

Tarantula can now target and destroy bulkheads.
Tarantula can now change facing after opening a door.
Blind grenades no longer crash game.
Heavy weapon order works correctly for all heavy weapons.
Bolt pistol and Power axe weapon selection screen now shows attack diagrams for shooting and melee.
Bolter limits have been corrected - 3 for normal missions, 5 for extra heavy weapon missions.

See the 1st post for the download to version 1.5.6.

Gold Bearer: When mechs attack, the dice do override each other. You'll just have to trust me that they are correct. :)
Eldar attack will be added at some future date.
New squads may be implemented after EA but I'm not promising anything.
What do you mean about targetting any square or walls with the Conversion beamer? The Conversion Beamer must be fired in one of the eight directions, much like the Plasma and Fusion guns.

Damn this is hard! I don't remember MD being this hard.

The way I've always understood the conversion beamer is that it targets a wall square and it's the wall that determines the direction of the beam, so it can't go diagonally. I blew myself up in the first turn because of this. :)

A few more things:

A squad it also meant to have at least one original heavy weapon. I don't know if you fixed that on the last update.

There's something very wrong with the assualt cannon. A lot of the time a can't target enemies who are clearly in sight.

The tarantula doesn't raise the armour value of the marine that's using it and I don't think the tarantula itself has the right armour value. The tarantula should have an armour value of six and if an enemy fires from inside the firing arc of the tarantula then the marine using it should have an armour value of four. Also I think that hitting the tarantula also hits the marine. I fired a missile launcher on a square next to a tarantula but not the marine using it and both were killed. A missle launcher shouldn't be able to harm a tarantula even if it's directly targeted.

On one turn I couldn't fire a tarantula, all I could do was move.

The blood angles tarantula hangs over the solid wall park of the docking claw at the start of the second mission, leaving an empty space.

Also the tarantula took up two squares in the board game although I think you know that and decided to do it differently.

The secondary mission alien event doesn't reveal the secondary mission.
